The more sophisticated climate change deniers go further than just dismissing the science as a hoax.

Analysis of Coursera courses - Stanford is strong in STEM - no surprise.
Coursera is a technology platform that kickstarted the current MOOCs boom. Even though there are more MOOCs players now, it still remains one of the leading

The kickoff keynote session at the 2015 Apple Worldwide Developers' Conference promised a new News app from Apple. Elegantly designed, it initially provides curated content from about 20 publishers including the New York Time...

Where there's snow - a bargain condo ski-in ski-out - and this year for the first time it took 2 hours 11 minutes in the air from SFO-YLW - then resort shuttle 35 miles up the road to Big White - sad to sell this lovely condo that rents so well we haven't been able to get into it the last 3 seasons.

A great place for bikers to stop as it has outdoor seating and you can get a fresh sandwich here. You can buy cheeses that are small enough to carry away as you bike. The cheese was soft and delicious.

There's an after work meetup that meets here on a Monday night for a short - 90 minute hike. It starts from the Prospect Road car park and if you park there be careful not to park next to the golf course - as flying balls could hit your car. Whether you work or are retired or are a student, it provides a fun workout. If you are a visitor it's a good place for a view of Silicon Valley.

This is a first rate company - I had a broken implement. They not only refunded the money but sent me a gift certificate. The San Francisco Ferry Building store staff were also most helpful.

This is a great hardware store. For bikers, there are inner tubes and some basic bike repair gear. For gardeners, there are fertilizers and seeds. For homeowners, there's a good range of home repair and painting stuff. They will mix paint for you. There's a great range of coconut doormats. For partygoers, you can get balloons. For pool owners, there are some pool supplies. For plumbers, you can get parts, same goes for sprinkler installers, woodworkers and more. If you are into beekeeping (or want to be) the hardware store owner can help you too and he sells honey, as well as Burt's Bees cosmetics. You can get decorations for various holidays. If you are hungry you can pick up an energy bar. If you don't want to buy tools you can rent them - carpet cleaner, wood chipper, ladder and more. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

The resort attracts people from across the globe, but very few Americans know about it. It is run mainly by Australians. Ski along quiet runs in powdery snow then spend the evening at a Swiss restaurant (sadly closed so no Black Forest cake, but the Black Diamond that replaces it has good fare and makes fondue - but not as good as Fritz's Swiss fondue) or Canadian steak house or a the pizza bakery. This is a great resort for boomers who like variety as it is quiet and has special days for men and women to try new areas of the mountain. If you like the terrain at Snowmass near Aspen or Deer Valley in Utah and do not need to people watch, then Big White might just be the place for you! Even if there is a white out, you can usually find some trees to guide you in the Black Forest.

Be sure to have radishes and salsa with the big chips. Try the flan for dessert. Good value and informal after a bike ride.
