I asked this question on Quora, but maybe somebody knows the answer here:

I want to gather engagement data (RTs, favourites and replies) on about 2000 tweets. I'm not a developer. How can I do this?

I want to replicate some research we did last year on Facebook (http://j.mp/OCYyzF), but this year we'd like to do it on Twitter. I'm not a programmer, so I can't whack together something that queries the Twitter API. Is there a third-party tool that will enable me to point it at a particular account, and collect this data for, say, the 100 most recent tweets?

I should note that we used Mechanical Turk for the Facebook research, so the human machine is always an alternative.

You know what would blow Edgar Allen Poe's mind? Knowing that 100 million people are going to watch a sports team named after his poem.

Doubling your tweeting frequency has a modest positive impact on follower growth and engagement.

I accidentally searched for 'puck', and was struck by a bit of a search results personalization failure here. I mean, I do like Shakespeare, but I'm also a serious hockey fan...

What are the digital trends to watch in 2013? Over the Christmas break, we made this two-and-a-half minute video showcasing six of them.

I made the whole video in Screenflow, as it happens. Which is either convenient, absurd or both.

Childhood poetry inspired by the Ultima games. Maybe Ultima V? I think the last one I played was IV.

I made an embarrassing video enacting a poem I wrote when I was 12.  Cringe for me please!

Please consider checking out the new e-book that I co-wrote with +Julie Szabo and +Theodora Lamb. The official spiel is that it's "full of tips, tricks and hard-earned wisdom on web marketing for NGOs and companies that care. The book includes case studies of campaigns by Greenpeace, LeadNow, Mountain Equipment Co-op and others!"

Plus, it's hosted on a fun single-serving site.

Some interesting stats about Business Insider's traffic. It's about 30% mobile, which jibes with research we've done for content-centric and magazine sites.

Putting the Executive Director's name in the 'From' field has become a thing in NGO email marketing. This is a screenshot from my inbox.

Introduction
My name is Darren Barefoot. I’m a writer, technologist and marketer who lives in Vancouver, Canada. While my undergraduate degree was in Creative Writing and Theatre, I always had a deep love of computers. Ever since my parents brought home our first dual disc drive IBM PC, I was smitten. So, mostly, I write about technology.I originally worked as a technical writer, doing an internship at Radical Entertainment, followed by stints at Meridian Systems and Cape Clear Software (while spending two years in Dublin). Since returning to Vancouver in 2003, I’ve started Capulet Communications, a web PR and marketing company that specializes in high-tech companies.
