This place is really cool. You walk through a museum to get there and its a sexy, dark bar in the back. All ladies when I've been there. Gentleman - come join us ;) Cool lighting and great drinks. Music was not great the night I was there, but atmosphere and cocktails made up for it. Avoid any of the drinks with mole bitters - they came out strange. Stick to the basics. Great for a big group or late night stop.

This hidden spot, behind a very cool modern art gallery, is perfect for a late night relax drink. It follows the style of home sweet home, the cool bar below this one, plus some classy decorations. The best drink is the midnight in Paris, but go ahead and enjoy all the exclusive tasty cocktails. This real speak easy is the best opportunity to show off your new yorker skills in front of your friends, whom are gonna love it.

My favorite bar in NYC. The bouncer is the nicest man, the decor is weird/cool/creepy/awesome. the drinks made by the mixologists are something i've never tasted before. the rose celavie cocktail is amazing ! after 12am on friday and saturday you can even dance there on some very cool music !

Tucked away in the broom closet of an art gallery, Fig. 19 boasts some of the best craftsmen to grace a bar. Housemade twists (lavendar syrup for a vodka-soda, for example) give grace and distinction to well-made cocktails from their standard menu. For a true treat, ask the bartender to make you something special. They never run out of incredible suggestions and every drink is delicious. Also a great indication of a special party or event, should you be in-the-know.

This hidden bar has an amazing vibe with some solid bartenders and bouncers. The bar is hidden inside a 'secret' door in the lobby of a building. Once you are in you are greeted with a comfortable bar with some dancing area and good music. The drinks were well prepared and priced right. If you are looking for a different scene... exit the "speakeasy" go outside, turn left and there is a downstairs portion where everyone is jumping grinding and screaming -- same bar completely different vibe. I highly recommend this place -- excellent reinterpretation of a speak easy.

To enter the gallery, you have to go through a nice gallery. Then you enter a classy bar with delicious cocktails. Apparently if you go late, people start dancing otherwise go just beside at Home sweet home.

Sweet little hidden jem that is a trick to find. Once inside the bar is solid with great moderately priced drinks. Quiet yet vibrant.

A nice secret bar only for people in the know. This cozy speakeasy-type bar offers cool drinks and a relatively quiet atmosphere to bring a date or gather with a few friends. The coolest thing about this place is that you have to walk in through an art gallery, but the only way the bouncer will let you in is if you say the name of the bar you are going to and act like you've been there before, as there are no signs outside.
