The bell men where very nice and the casino was nice and fancy but the room was terrible! No carpet in the room,no ash tray in a smoking room and they wouldn't give me the type of room that I had booked unless I paid another 30$! The paint on the walls had big scratches there were no pictures on the walls at all! Super super plan! I booked a king room but they would only give me a double room and 1 of the beds was even broken! I will not stay here ever again! If you're going to come to AC I would suggest that you stay somewhere else and only visit the casino! It's a shame when the Ramada has nicer rooms than the fancy places!

Absolutely terrible. Where do we start? How about with the series of valet drivers cat calling and offending my sister immediately upon our arrival? Not a good first impression, but I knew we were in NJ and would be surrounded by trash, so we let it go. When we checked in the clerk asked us how many room keys we wanted. We figured two would be enough, one for my girlfriend and I and one for my sister for when we parted ways. The clerk failed to mention that every person in the room is required to have a key card or the security won't let you up the elevator to your room. Really? So after the three of us got back from the beach with only one key (why the hell would we take all 3 keys to the beach together?) security informed us we couldn't go to our room. We explained the situation to the security guard (who barely had a grasp on the English language) and he actually encouraged us to complain, realizing himself that it was a terribly moronic policy for the hotel to have. We went to the front desk to get another key, so that every guest could actually get to the hotel room we were paying for, and they charged us $50 for another key! On a side note, we requested the newly renovated North Tower weeks in advance when we booked the trip. When we checked in, we reminded them of our request and they denied us, saying there was no room and we had to stay in the older, stuck in 1970s era West Tower. That's all fine and good except we met friends down there who booked there rooms only several days in advance and were given a room in the North Tower. WTF Tropicana? You're just awful. To add to that, our friends had no security checking for their keys when they went to their rooms... ever. So let me get this straight, Tropicana. You're going to inconvenience every paying guest that stays in the crappy, desperately-in-need-of-renovation portion of your hotel, but let literally anyone at all enter the the newer, more expensive tower? That was enough for me. For the remainder of the trip we alI refused to give the Tropicana any more money. We specifically left the hotel/casino to buy food, gamble, etc. elsewhere. If only that were the end of the Tropicana's ROBBERY. When we checked out and my sister picked up her Jeep from the valet, we realized they had ransacked her car, stealing over $500 worth of goods (sunglasses, etc.). They literally stole everything out of her vehicle that wasn't bolted down. Of course, the Tropicana refused to rectify the situation, claiming that they were not liable, even though the only person with her car keys was one of their employees. The Tropicana is a complete piece of... I would give it negative stars if I could. Unless they reach out to us and rectify the situation, we will never be back and continue to discourage all of our friends and family from ever setting foot on any of their properties again. Absolutely terrible.

I just stayed in the Tropicana and I had an awful time. The rooms in the West Towers suck. The bathroom had orange stains on the shower walls. My toilet was stopped up and it took almost 2 hours to fix. Which means we could not use the bathroom in the actually room. It was freezing in the room as well. The person who checked me out was rude. What happen to the dressers where you can put your clothes in. I hope like most companies because they do not have any other casinos down that end they feel like they can do what they want. I will chose another casino when I return to AC.....DON'T GO!!!!!!!!!....The good part about Tropicana is it's right across from Country Kitchen. Can't lie food in Tropicana is cool. But help and the West Tower is the worse.....Again don't go.

Rooms definitely need to be cleaned better, and updated. For the price it should be nicer. Loved Carmine's, it was one place that wasn't smoked filled. The non smoking areas are a joke because it's still very smokey. Same as the rooms because it's impossible to go into a room and not stink it up with the smell from clothing etc... if it hadn't been so smokey I would have stayed much longer..other casionos/hotels have better ventilation or something because it's not strong. It's a shame really because there is alot to do there.

If you're looking to have a good time in Atlantic City, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! The staff were extremely rude. I wouldn't care if it was just one employee having a bad day, but every employee we came across gave us a bad impression. The hotel room was pretty beat and far too pricey. Upon check out they informed us that there was an additional $30 "because we said so" charge..oddly enough they forgot to mention it when we checked in. After spending a few hours in Caeser's Palace (where we enjoyed ourselves and were treated like human beings) we went back to our room at "the trop" watched a grainy movie on the tv and basked in the feeling of regret. I'll never step foot in this place again. If you're thinking about staying here you may want to reconsider. You'd have a better time punching yourself in the face and throwing your money in a dumpster.

At first I wasn't shocked about the room but then I got used to it and really liked the room. I came with my dad. I had a great time. The casino is big and really cool. The bed is very very comfortable. I really don't want to leave. But there's always next time. Hopefully that will be soon. Keep up the good work.

We went to celebrate our anniversary and upon check in they stated our room wasn't ready but could put us in another tower. When we got to the room, I immediately noticed there was no carpet (west Tower). I immediately felt uncomfortable and asked to be switched and they were able to honor it. Once we got to our new room we were all smiles! We were upgraded to a beautiful suite. Tropicana is right near the boardwalk, great restaurants (Casa Tequilla bar), and the casino is a plus. Just remember to bring a shower cap and lotion because it was not in the bathroom! Would stay again :)
