At first I wasn't shocked about the room but then I got used to it and really liked the room. I came with my dad. I had a great time. The casino is big and really cool. The bed is very very comfortable. I really don't want to leave. But there's always next time. Hopefully that will be soon. Keep up the good work.

We went to celebrate our anniversary and upon check in they stated our room wasn't ready but could put us in another tower. When we got to the room, I immediately noticed there was no carpet (west Tower). I immediately felt uncomfortable and asked to be switched and they were able to honor it. Once we got to our new room we were all smiles! We were upgraded to a beautiful suite. Tropicana is right near the boardwalk, great restaurants (Casa Tequilla bar), and the casino is a plus. Just remember to bring a shower cap and lotion because it was not in the bathroom! Would stay again :)

My wife and I went to see La Sonora Ponceña at the Tropicana Showroom and it was a great show. It is one of the great concerts we have seen. I would have given it 5 stars if the audience not dance in the aisle or video recording blocking our views. I think it was discourteous of them. That is not cool at all.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tropicana. My wife and I played slots, blackjack, and poker. We stayed in the Havana Tower. It's a long walk from the casino but besides that, we didn't really have any complaints on the room. The reason I only gave 3 stars is the hotels key policy. I can't understand the logic. Everyone must have a key to get to a room? What? What if that person is not staying at the hotel? What if they just came to hang out for a few hours and are staying at another hotel? What if my wife and I leave the room and only bring her key? We've never had this problem before. Tropicana, please think about your key policy. It sure makes your guests feel unwelcome when told by a security officer they can't get on the elevator to get to a room they are paying $200+ per night for. I keep reading you restate the key policy. I'd like to have the logic explained, not just restating the policy. Do you have any idea how many guests you alienate and make feel unwelcome with this policy?

I just stayed in the Tropicana and I had an awful time. The rooms in the West Towers suck. The bathroom had orange stains on the shower walls. My toilet was stopped up and it took almost 2 hours to fix. Which means we could not use the bathroom in the actually room. It was freezing in the room as well. The person who checked me out was rude. What happen to the dressers where you can put your clothes in. I hope like most companies because they do not have any other casinos down that end they feel like they can do what they want. I will chose another casino when I return to AC.....DON'T GO!!!!!!!!!....The good part about Tropicana is it's right across from Country Kitchen. Can't lie food in Tropicana is cool. But help and the West Tower is the worse.....Again don't go.

Rooms definitely need to be cleaned better, and updated. For the price it should be nicer. Loved Carmine's, it was one place that wasn't smoked filled. The non smoking areas are a joke because it's still very smokey. Same as the rooms because it's impossible to go into a room and not stink it up with the smell from clothing etc... if it hadn't been so smokey I would have stayed much longer..other casionos/hotels have better ventilation or something because it's not strong. It's a shame really because there is alot to do there.

This "newly renovated" hotel was absolutely horrible. We called ahead to notify hotel we would be arriving late due to some construction and other traffic issues. Spoke with someone at the first desk and they made a note of it so that our room would be saved. We finally arrived around 1:30 in the morning. My Husband, myself, our 11 year old, 3 year old and 6 month old assembled as many of our belongings on to our stroller and carried the rest along with our 2 youngest since there weren't any carts to use inside the hotel. My husband walked up to the front desk, checked us in, and we went up to our assigned room. We walked in to a run down room with just a king size bed for our family of 5. All of the furniture was scratched and dented. There was a huge hole where there was suppose to be a refrigerator. My husband called down to the desk and they told us to come back down and they would give us another room (seriously!! packed up all our things and children and head back down-- how about you friggin bring it up?!?) So we head back down, we are told we need to go to the opposite tower now and in order to get there we have to take the elevator up to the casino floor and walk through the entire casino at 2 in morning with still our packed stroller and young children (no offers to assist us or apologies for the major inconvenience) We walked through the casino, FULL of cigarette smoke and drunks making several comments to us and our kids. Finally get to the room, its a renovated room, but still very dirty and literally just slapped with some paint. The handle in the shower with covered in rust, and coming away from the wall. The floors were clearly covered in food crumbs and dust. The tile in the bathroom was rusty and the mortar crumbling. We got to bed and laid there listening to people screaming and laughing up and down the hallways. Woke up and basically had to check out immediately since we didn't even get to the room until about 2:30 am, check out was 11 am and they were there at exactly 11:02 opening our door before I could even get to it to tell them we were still inside. We get down stairs to check out after our 9 hour stay, they ask how everything was. We explain to them our disapproval and they said "Well we got you a different room, so we fixed the issue- there was nothing else we could've done for you" Completely rude and still unapologetic. We get outside and wait for close to an hour for our valet parked car. Overall horrible horrible stay, I will never stay there again or any other Tropicana for that matter!
