What a horrible inconvenience their hotel key card elevator access policy is. Truly dumb from a business stant point. Piss off 8 of 10 guests to save 1 of 20 from noise? That was the logic explained to me. I will not be staying here nor spending my money here again. Your policy really left a sour taste in my mouth to treat your guests the way you do. I come to atlantic city to spend money and enjoy the city, not be harassed and ostracized by my hotel. Your destroying your reputation and will pay for it in the future.

Very bad service. I will NEVER stay here again. I was HIGHLY disappointed in the way I was treated. If you come with 2 friends every person has to get a room key or else you have to walk half a mile to get your own room key. Even though you are all entering together back into your room. The rooms need to renovated. I was treated more like a prisoner not as a guest spending money.

Very sorry to hear about the bad experience. We do require guests to each have a room key as a security measure to access the hotel. We have a variety of different rooms available, and are currently renovating some of our rooms. If you ever have problems while on property, we have a Front Desk manager available 24/7 to help.

My family has been running bus trips to Tropicana, twice a year for the last 20 years. With this long-lasting relationship, you would think that there would be a greater level of customer service. My family leaves from central Virginia, which is about a 6 hour bus ride and our rooms were not ready. We arrived at the Tropicana at noon and had to wait until 5 pm and later for a room. I am 6 and half months pregnant, both of my feet and legs were swollen and there was nothing (so they said ) that could be done to accomodate me. If this was the first time this has happened, I'd let it slide, but the same thing occurred in 2013 we arrived at the Tropicana at noon and rooms were not available until 3 pm. I'm addition, the bed was sunken in and very uncomfortable, it took 20 minutes to get an answer at the front desk just to be told no,late check outs could be done regardless of what time I was given a room. I can say that housekeeping brought additional towels in a timely fashion and the food at Hooters was good, but that is it. We may strongly consider taking our business somewhere else.

I'm sure you know that it isn't normal for us to make those types of quality mistakes, as you've been a loyal guest of ours for the past 20 years. If you ever have an issue with your room while on property, we have a Front Desk manager available 24/7 to help with problems and accommodations. You're welcome to ask to speak with the manager when you call the Front Desk, or when you check-in. We hope to see you again in the future, and would love to hear from you after your next visit :)

The hotel insures that it doesn't miss a beat in making money by treating the guest like prisoners. In order to get back to your room every guest must have a room key . That's fine , the security process of checking every guest upon entering the rooms is almost harassing . I can see this being an issue for a person trying to have a fling . If you wanted to just have a guest in your room for a few hours in addition to you and your guest you have to pay the $25.00 fee per night for them to get a room key . Essentially making you " pay for it, even if they do not stay ! Illegal lol The rooms are below average for $250 a night. The bathrooms could use an upgrade . The floors in the room are hardwood with no shine , very dull and just overall not appealing . & especially for $250 a night . This resort should focus more on quality and not quantity . They need to keep up with small ware and tear throughout fans entire hotel . We also had marijuana smell coming through our vents last night . My friend swears she got contact high . Maybe all non smoking should be on one side and all non on thee other . I mean marijuana is not yet legal here . I don't feel that they are ensuring we have a good stay . No customer service measures or complimentary steps have been taken . It would have been nice to even have 4 towels in our room since we paid for 4 people . It's the little things that's count . Also the rooms have no storage space so all of clothes are just on the floor next to our beds, so even though we are in a hotel we are living out of our suitcases . We received no travelers guide , just a phone book in our room . Still currently looking for a breakfast spot . Idk my friends and I talked about it ( 4 girls total , age 25) and we decided that next time we would pick a small hotel and just come over and enjoy the hotel from the aspect .

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with us! We have a variety of different rooms available. Some rooms do not include furniture for storing clothes. If you ever have trouble with your room, we have a Front Desk manager available 24/7 to help. Please feel free to call the Front Desk any time during your stay to speak with the manager. We have plenty of great breakfast options: Casa Taco in the Market Place (accessible from the boardwalk), Fiesta Buffet, Seaside Cafe, and Broadway Burger Bar also serves breakfast on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

the hotel room was okay but the bathroom needs an upgrade. However, I really liked the Quarters with Carmines and the Cuban restaurant and that antique car. I liked the fact you made the hotel look like a mini-village with walkway to casino. Swimming pool was nice too until someone threw up and that had to clear the pool (no fault of the casino. Sometimes it happens) We also liked the many food options available. We did not get a chance to see the IMAX or the family entertainment room either. I plan on doing so on my net visit. Thanks

(2014 summer)Me and the wife completed a week at the Tropicana. We don't gamble so we came for the boardwalk and amenities. The Tropicana had more and plenty to offer, from fine dining to quick bites when it came to food. They have a great pool area and pool along with the view of the ocean. The Quarter/mall was filled with shops, great people and a true Imax theater that was unbeatable! The room we had in the north tower was up to date with flat screen tv and an OK view of the boardwalk and ocean. It wasn't the best but was good enough. And last, the service we received at the Trop was great and I definitely want to go back if I can, as long as Atlantic City isn't gone down with all the closing. So go ahead and take your wife or family and have a grand time at the Trop's!

Thank you for the great review! Tropicana Atlantic City isn't going anywhere! We're even expanding our property to include an all new light and sound show on the boardwalk. Plus we're renovating parts of the casino with new carpets, lights, tables, and slots. We're also adding a few new outlets to The Quarter including a new fitness center. I visited the Tropicana today and I had the unfortunate experiece of my wallet being stolen or lost, i was in the casino for approximately 15 minutes when i went to get my wallet out it was missing, I immediately went to lost and found and they said leave a description and phone number which i did. i was distraught at that time because i had all of my money, credit cards ID in that wallet. After revisting the lost and found booth, a few times i finally asked if there were cameras that could be checked and that is when they finally called security. Security took all of my information and while he was asking me what was in my wallet, an employee came to lost and found with my wallet stating I left it in the bathroom. I was not in the bathroom at all, my wallet was stolen, i believe i was pick pocketed. All of my money was missing . However i was fortunate to get all of my credit cards and ID back. Someone took my money and left the wallet in the bathroom, However the stress and anxiety ruined my trip to the Tropicana. It would of been more helpful if security was called right away, possibly my wallet could of been found sooner, Security should of been notified right away but no one even mentioned security until i badgered there after 3-4 visits back to lost and found. I would of been great to know that the employees cared enough to call security right away. I want to feel secure in a casino and I did not feel that way, I also want the casino to do everything they can to protect their patrons and I feel that they lacked in that area. Things happen but I also want everything to be done to correct this mishap and it wasn't.
