The Tropicana is a really nice hotel. They have a large number of fun slot games, and cool bar areas with awesome dance club. Room service was prompt and clean rooms. Really had a great time at our stay there.

I had a lot of fun at Tropicana. The room looked to be updated recently it was in the North Tower. P.F Changs was good as always. There is a sports bar in the Quarter that had great drink specials and the music was great. If you have a chance try the Mexican restaurant on the boardwalk level near Hooters the empanadas and soft tacos were delicious. The only complaint I have is the amount of second hand smoke I inhaled. I feel like the air should be a lot cleaner than it was. I would definitely go back.

I am a licensed travel agent been to a lot of different Resorts casinos and hotels I must say Tropicana is a straight-out dump aesthetically on the outside I'm coming into the hotel casino very beautiful customer service is horrible but some clients here they were treated horribly as well as I was treated horribly rooms were filthy we arrived around 7 o'clock did not get checked in to 11 o'clock at night due to their mix up and I lack of them making an effort of trying to get it Justified quickly as I stood there and listened to other people checking a very upset other people were having the same and similar problems they had people checked into the wrong room and they were acting nonchalant did not care check the family in a room with a baby to a smoking room and told them they had no more rooms are non-smoking and there was nothing they could do about it and the family told them they had booked it a non-smoking room as I stood at the counter I must to watch this happen similar over 10 times people being checked into room if they did not request it and they were very upset when we've got to our room they were very dirty and filthy heavy of smoke this morning at the buffet $21 for a buffet not too bad of food but food is not that fresh to the $21 Buffet sitting here looking out the window at the boardwalk looks horrible but the desire window ledge is very dirty

Dont waste your time or money here. Rooms are dated and falling apart. Gym is a long long walk away. No room service at night...Says it all.

Very nice rooms, restaurants and other distractions in the tropicana. I stayed in the West Coast, which was slightly worse than the north, but it was cheaper as well. Each room had 2 size beds and a fairly large bathroom. The rooms were clean and the restaurants were nice. Anthem (one of the bars/clubs) was great and I would recommend going there. Only complaint would be the cost of food, but what can you expect from a casino?

Tropicana Resort Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City is one of the last true casino on the boardwalk as we all remember. Its location is the last one on the very south end of the boardwalk, now that the Hilton is closed. Updated with so much to do, you never really have to leave except to go to the beach or walk the famous boardwalk. True there are only five hotels on the boardwalk left but this by far has the most to offer. They have unlimited bars some high end in and around the casino and or in higher end restaurants. You have middle of the road restaurants with bars, sports bars with large screen tvs with food service, and of course you have the marketplace. In the hotel off the boardwalk entrance is the marketplace where you will find places for ice cream, sandwiches, pizza, and one of my favorite places Casa Taco and Tequila Bar and Restaurant. The best guacamole thats made right in front of you. From the steak, tacos, empanadas and everything in between this place is the go to dining deal. Then lets not forget the new updated French Quarter Havana Tower. Walk thru this place don't know if your in Havana, or the French Quarter in New Orleans but you never think your in Atlantic City. Shops, restaurants, Imax Theater, Showrooms. You have more sports bars you have Discos, Nude Dancers Night Club. Enough said, oh and did I forget gambling, slots that do payoff, staff that is friendly, rooms that are spacious and the air conditioner that makes you freeze if thats what you like. Maybe worth a 5 star rating but I hate to give that. Go and enjoy yourself.

Tropicana is a decent hotel. The rooms are a bit outdated. The quarter restaurants are awesome. The shops are cool too. The casino is fine for a casino. Overall your typical Atlantic City hotel. Nice enough. Clean enough. Affordable enough. What else do you need for a quick weekend getaway?

Newly renovated casino looks amazing. "The Quarters" is a stretch of 'Havana' style streets with lots of awesome bars, restaurants and shopping. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the rooms have change to basically just a bed, a tv, and a bathroom. Not very comfy or welcoming, but maybe they plan on renovating them. Not sure.
