Callie's Café & Sports Bar. It is a no frills, down-home bar and grill, that serves fair priced, basic food. The best items on the menu are country-fried steak, French toast, French dip - or any meal complemented by brown gravy or hot syrup. Just good food and fair prices.

I'm a regular, best bacon anywhere! Love the French toast, they know how to makes eggs right all the different ways, rare. A cowboy diner at its finest.

1. Horrible Restrooms - Filthy - cleaning lady comes once a day. 2. Huge portions of food that could cause immediate need for angioplasty. 3. No Calorie/Carb/Fat charts or info. for ANY of the menu items. 4. No "LIGHT" menu for fat/grams conscience people. 5. Hamburger at times tasted like it could have been purchased at a reduced price moments before vendor disposed of it.(Mystic Meats) 6. Tables, stools, cups, utensils, in poor condition. Painted concrete floor makes vomit easier to clean up. 7. Carpeting in "bar area" could possibly contain over 20,000 bacteria (some undefined) 8. People smoking cigarettes at every entrance of café at varying times. 9. People in "bar area" screaming profanities that can be heard in every corner of the building! Children can and do hear these profanities. 10.The ONLY "saving grace" of Callie's Café are the servers, that do an amazing job at delivering the over-priced, fat riddled, carb-loaded menu items to their destination. *these are my observances and opinions

Horrible and I mean absolutely horrible service. The waitress did not check in on us once, I had to waive her down every time I needed something. She was in the back laughing and talking and texting in her cell phone the entire time. The food was burned. Minus the burned its good food thick bread, good pancakes, thick bacon but not worth coming back. Also they do not take anything but cash, says right on the menu cause of the cost they have to pay.

A local treasure. It's small and private, with very good food/beverages. Nothing super fancy, but definitely unique, surprisingly very tasty, and a must try. I intend to go more regularly. Better than denny's/ village inn/ and any "fast food" burger place. It has a comfortable, "I'm at home" feel to it. (There is a bar connected to the restaurant in the back, fyi.) I imagine it as a local hangout similar to those described in Nicholas Spark's books.
