Went to see a planetarium show entitled "Journey to the Stars". It was nothing more than a regular projector and a youtube quality 23 minute movie. Not a dome show at all. What is the point of watching a regular format movie in a planetarium??? Super disappointed.

I haven't been there in 20 years, but I remember all my thoughts while there as if it were yesterday. I remember every step I took, every artifact I saw. I'm taking my 9 y/o daughter in 2 weeks. She has been begging to go to a museum and I wanted to take her to the best one. Well, since Mars isn't accessible, we'll just come here!

My goto place every time I have a visitor from out of the area. The shock value of taking somebody to see a replica pharaoh's tomb where they'd least expect to find it - in Silicon Valley, of all places - simply cannot be beat. The free and ample parking nearby is quite convenient and the museum store sells memorable goodies.

No idea there was an Egyptian museum in San Jose. Turned out to be fairly extensive, including a walk-through tomb and some advanced imaging of mummies under the wrapping.

I been a member of this great Fraternity for 30 years already and I feel very proud of it. Every thing they have done is just five Star. Saludos... adelante.

My daughter loved learning about Egypt there. Her favorite part of the tour was the huge tomb.

The museum has a great collection of artifacts from all eras of the Egyptian civilization. If real mummies are not mysterious enough, they have a walk-through replica of a tomb. I was amazed to by the details of the carvings and the beautiful wall paintings in its chambers. The museum has a planetarium with a daily show which was a complete let-down. It uses a low-resolution, rectangular projector which looks worse than a large-screen TV. The ticket for it is free for visitors of the museum. So, I can't complain much. Definitely a great place to visit for someone interested in ancient history.
