I'm unable to update any MAL data from either 2.1 RC5 or 2.1.2. The only operation I've gotten to work has been removing an item from my list. Changing status, episodes, and ratings all appear to complete (no error is displayed) but upon reloading the data the change was never reflected on MAL.

Those kinds of bugs really annoy me. Glad it started working again, though.

Accidentally saved my +Psensor preferences with the menu disabled, and now I can't get to the preferences any more. No idea where to look for them in gsettings/dconf, if they're even there at all. Can't find a config file either. Officially beyond my ability to solve this. #help

Technically, the settings of the UI are saved in gsettings (/apps/psensor/interface/menu-bar-disabled) or dconf  (/apps/psensor/interface-menu-bar-disabled) depending on the version.
BTW, easiest way is to select 'preferences' in the Ubuntu AppIndicator menu or by right-clicking on the graph window.

Take a Security Check-Up and get 2GB FREE Google Drive storage!

It's a dangerous Internet out there and we, as good citizens of cyberspace, should actively monitor our accounts and their accompanied security settings. To help facilitate security on your Google account, the Googs is offering users an additional 2GB of free storage, on top of the free 15GB you already have, just for doing a quick security review of your account. The process is painless and quite frankly, it's something you should do every few months anyways. So, enjoy your free storage and safer Internets.

Google finally got widespread MMS support into Google Voice, 3 years after MMS became irrelevant.
Good news, GV users! You can now stay in touch via MMS with Verizon Wireless users. Google Voice now supports MMS messaging with of all major carriers in the US and Canada.

Along with this announcement, we are also adding native MMS support for photo messaging to Google Voice. If you opt in to Google Voice in Hangouts, you can now attach photos to any SMS message and it will be delivered as a native MMS (instead of SMS with a link). Support for group messaging via MMS will be enabled in a future update.

Atarashii! running "natively" on OS X...

Since Google announced that Android applications can run on ChromeOS, I've been really excited at the thought of having Atarashii! running on a desktop. Some enterprising individual managed to port the App Runtime for Chrome to any desktop system running the Chrome browser. Interested, I thought I'd see if I could get things running on it, and the results speak for themselves. This works awesomely. Now we just have to wait for official Google support before everyone can enjoy this.

If you are interested in trying things out yourself, the article at will help you get started. Please remember that this is all a huge hack, so there is absolutely no support of any kind.

Hello, and welcome to the Aperture Science Google+ page.

Probably the best of the 3 or 4 HPB locations I've been to in the Houston area. Really friendly staff, even right before closing!

Well… The food was good enough for Sonic, but there wasn't enough sauce on the boneless wings. Like, they were half dry. Bacon was left off the bacon double cheeseburger, after it was read back (and displayed on the screen & receipt) correctly. To their credit, they did offer to remake the sandwich, or bring out bacon separately. But that shouldn't have happened.

One of the top three Chinese buffets I've been to in the States. Even an hour before closing, with just a few tables there, the food was (almost all) fresh. Flavors were overwhelmingly good, with only one or two exceptions of the dozen-plus dishes I tried. Would definitely go back!

Chinese music, friendly and solicitous service, pleasant décor. Good egg foo young; delicious mu shu; and what I am told is the best eggplant dish, from California to New York, since Chef Chu's in Mountain View, 1977, by a now-aging Stanford alumna.

Delicious food and good prices. It's unusual to find Indian food this good at reasonable prices (at least for breakfast/lunch; haven't seen the dinner menu).

Was a bit apprehensive about trying an unknown new place, but the reviews are well deserved. The food is good, the service is friendly, and, well, I'm planning to go back.

Disclaimer: I speak as someone who is not a student. I've just been in the theatre/music complex a lot for classes. Concordia has some good facilities. As college theatres go, the E.M. Pearson is in the top five I've had the pleasure of working in (as a musician). The Buetow auditorium is a decent recital space, even if I've usually done theatre in it (not a fun thing). And finally, the black box theatre is well designed and pretty easy for performance. My main quibble with Concordia is with their legal department. Outside groups cannot set up their own tech for performances; a Concordia employee must do it. That's great for the liability insurance policy, but not always easy when you're trying to set up a show quickly. (I also love doing tech, so it's always disappointing to be forbidden from helping with a show.) I can't be too hard on them though. I understand the risks that would be involved in allowing anyone to set up the ceiling-mounted lights.
