A hacky trick for dealing with Heroku's slow build times for Scala Play apps

Going retrospective -- students started using the app yesterday, but I got behind on writing posts as I went.  

(There'll be a few more posts on it, but they are retrospective rather than "as I go")

Back to app building at last. (With a full day away from coding, "epsilon" could look quite large.)

8th commit, and we can create courses. Perhaps the interesting part of the commit, though, is how security is handled.

7th commit adds OAuth, and at last that's the plumbing done.  (In future, there'll be a template so projects can start from this point.)

In the next 8 hours, the rest of the app should appear.  (Hmm, is that a brave statement?)

After a long delay while I fixed a painful bug inside handy (to do with some internal awkwardness inside play), the sixth commit gets our first controller on the server, and first service in the Angular.js app running.

Possibly a late night ahead...

After a slightly leisurely morning, I ought to get a wriggle on building this app.  The 5th commit is perhaps a little dull -- getting Angular.js set up.

One more plumbing commit to go, and then I can get started on the app proper this afternoon.

Fourth commit just sets up the basic elements for the client. 

Tomorrow, fewer meetings, and it should all start doing things pretty quickly.
