The doctor and nurses were really nice and attentive. It a shame that the condition of the hospital was so dirty and nasty that it took away from giving a higher rating. The bathrooms smelled awful. The toilets were not clean, the walls were filthy and there was old blood on the floors. When you come into a hospital you would think that you are coming into a place were you would find cleanliness to prevent germs but there it was the opposite. They really need to do much better on the cleanliness of this hospital. When you go to the women's center compared to the ER it's like night and day.

It is a sad and unfortunate trauma when a mother loses her baby to a miscarriage. But when a hospital makes that experience worse by not providing the well-deserved overarching care to a grieving new mother, it sends a clear message to its community and it adds insult to injury. My daughter was seen in the ER this past Friday, October 28, 2016 then again on Sunday, October 30, 2016. My daughter and her husband were excited when they learned they were expecting their first baby. But unfortunately, they lost their baby this past weekend. The medical professionals who provided their initial care in the ER were supportive but what's confusing is, they sent her home after telling her that her baby had a 50/50 chance of survival. Why wasn’t she not hospitalized? Providers sent her home with instructions to collect any tissue and blood samples and to return to the ER on Sunday. When she returned to the ER on Sunday they advised her they had lost the baby. The ER then sent her back home and told her to call the ER if the pain medication was not working for her pain. She was also informed that she was fully dilated and that her cervix was still open. We tried for several hours trying to connect with the ER, as instructed, only to be sent on multiple wild goose chase through never-never-land of repeated voices mails and hang-ups. My LORD!! She's already devastated....needless to say, she was NEVER assisted in any way what so ever. Shame on You DeKalb Medical North.... A copy of this review will be forwarded to the Hospital CEO and ER Director, as well as the State Regulatory Agency. The single STAR * rating is only due to not being able to attach this review without a selection. DeKalb Medical… You were rude and uncaring...and belong as close to grieving mother as an alligator deserves to be near a baby...

Worst hospital I have ever been to in my life. I wouldn't come back to this joke of hospital if you held a gun to my head. Was talked to like I was a idiot. Yes Pringle I am talking about you. If you worked in a prison your bedside manors would be great.

I only left them a one star just to be able to write this review. I would have given them a negative 10 stars if there was an option. A very select few were incredible but the majority are pretty much very inexperience and shouldn't be in this industry. Out dated instruments, dirty smelly furniture, puke tasting food, uneducated staff that can't even spell. Response time in request or what they say they are going to do is below average. Some staff can't even speak english. And some that does speaks it very poorly. Anesthesiologist seems like they just graduated from an online course. They dont change the bed linens unless request to be, their defense is the save water, what about hygiene and saving lives? If I had the option to come here for our next baby or run backwards naked into a cactus, I would choose the second option while already running backwards into a cactus naked. Poor security. It seems that the only thing they excel in is gossip and conversations. I could go on and on but it would be useless. Be warned.

I went to the hospital with a headache. They immediately prescribed medication which did make my headache go away immediately so I feel better about that. I wanted a scan of my head and throat which I did not get but still I'm thankful they made me feel better. I gave them 5 Stars for giving me medicine while in the Emergency Room. The only thing that would've made my trip better was getting a scan of my head and throat.

Hospital is horrible and the wait time is unforgiving. I have been to hospitals in Miami and new York that where full and I still got in and out faster than I did. I had to wait over an hour just to have my vitals done. The people have a don't give a damn attitude and show no urgency or concern to any of the patients.
