Appreciated the updates while our daughter was in surgery. John, the registered nurse on 4th floor was EXCEPTIONAL! He really went over and above to please. The staff was friendly and nice but John was great. The only negative I have is we could not find our car and there is no security to help two women at night? it was upsetting to be :lost" for 45 minutes and no help! Need security call lamps or something like that.

I was in the ER over 6 hours before seeing a doctor. I am guessing because I Do not have insurance. Spent over 8 hours there. Was given EKG, xrays and blood work before ever being seen by a doctor. I really don't think it was necessary for all of that without being seen first. A LOT of people waited as long as i did and longer. Good thing it was not life threatening or i would be DEAD. I will not go there again. They made me see a financial counselor and asked me to send papers which is fine BUT they also wanted my boyfriends income and stuff which i don't think is right. We aren't married so he is not responsible for me in that regard. I just do not understand this place. I finally see a doctor for literally less than 3 minutes and tells me i need a breathing treatment which i NEVER GOT! A hour or so after he left a nurse came in and gave me my discharge papers. The staff at the desk was somewhat rude when people tried to ask them things. Just not a good feeling here. I went there because i had always gotten good care prior...but then i had insurance. I bet i'll have a stroke when i get the bill. All i got was 2 childrens aspirin, blood work, ekg and xrays and a little oxygen. I can only imagine what i will be charged for!

This is the worst hospital EVER! I had to take my mom to ER because she was in severe pain and vomitting. We get there I give the front desk guy her insurance information and my mother sits in their disgusting waiting area. While I rush over to her to give her some forms to sign she falls on the floor crying because of the amount of pain she was in. NO ONE comes over until I yell out for some help. (If she wouldn't have fallen, they would have taken their time to call her back) the skinny little administration guy walks over with a wheel chair as if he was taking a stroll in the park. I had to yank the wheel chair and get it closer to my mother. Now at this point there is a nurse, the little guy and some other tech or nurse literally looking at me (97lb) female trying to help my own mother off the floor. The rude nurse says to my mom, "mam get off the floor" I really wanted to say back to her we'll HELP ME THEN!! But at this point I'm concerned for my mom. They all just stood there and watched. When we get to the area where they were going to draw her blood for analys, they hand her a little green bag to hold just in case she had to vomit. I roll my mother over to their lab to have her blood drawn and my mother accidentally drops the bag on the floor and I could not reach it, but then I thought it fell on the hospital floor it's dirty. So I go back to the reception area to get her a new one and give it to her. I go back give my mom the new bag. The nurse that was about to draw her blood starts to kick the bag that was on the floor with her dirty ass shoe towards me so I can pick it up. I ignore that because I'm waiting for her to draw her blood plus I already got a clean one for my mom. The nurse just stares at me expecting me to pick it up and would draw her blood until I did. So I told her "I'm not picking it up its been on the floor it's dirt now" she says to me "I'm not either" and I had to say "but that's your job, or the janitors not mine" then later I had to tell her that her attitude was horrible and that I didn't like it. So she kicked me out the room and told my father to go in the room. I was so upset with how my mother is in a lot of pain and this lazy lady wants to debate with me about a stupid bag on the floor. Little did she know my husband works for dekalb police and works in that territory so if I wanted to act out I could have. We finally get to the ER department and they put us in a room. My mother had to use the bathroom and when we go to the one that pertained to her room. The toilet seat is off and placed on side ways to where you can't use it and the tub was full of dirty water. So my mother with severe pain, each time she had to go to the restroom she had to walk across the ER department barely can walk to use the bathroom. Mind you all the nurses and janitors are looking at us crazy because we are having to walk to go to the bathroom. But funny thing is one of the janitors said to us "you have a restroom in your room and we told her it was broken and then she looks over to her co worker and says "oh yeah the toilet is broken in room 19" ... Like if you know this fix the damn thing! Seriously all the nurses there are lazy, they have the worst attitudes and just there to let time go by. They don't care about you or your state of being. My husband gets calls up to the hospital all the time to lock people up or escort them out the hospital because that's what the people there like to do. They want you out so they won't have to deal with you. Those ugly lazy fat nurses rather start up a conversation with my husband to talk than do their jobs. I'm not just saying this, this is coming from my husbands mouth. He says they are more concerned to get his hat tension and other police officer that he works with than their patients. PLEASE GO ELSE WHERE.

Very slow, incompetent medical staff. My mother went here with stroke like symptoms. Did an MRI and blood work. Said everything was "fine" and sent her on her way. She followed up with a neurologist who said all the test were done incorrectly and he had to re-do everything again. My 1 year old who had bronchitis was out there for 6 hours before she was seen. On top of that you have to pay for parking. We are from Illinois and I have NEVER seen a hospital where you have to pay for parking until I moved to Georgia.

I had the worst experience EVER from a Medical Center! Nurses cursing at patients, staff arguing with each other right outside patient's room! The ladies in discharge were soon rude I ended up walking out with no discharge, no prescription, no paperwork or nothing! I hate that my insurance company will even get this bill, cause I ultimately have to go another ER to be seen. I hate to say it..... but they were all African American workers. #redflag

I took my wife here for delivery of our first child, which wasn't a good experience. Imagine a pregnant lady about to deliver a baby sitting outside on the floor for 4hrs and no help from hospital staff. Their complain was, there is not enough clean bed in the hospital, cleaning person is not there....very inefficient, unprofessional work ethics was presented. After delivering baby, baby was throwing up green stuff regularly, which wasnt a good sign. Guess what, after 3 days baby was discharged from hospital with green stuff still throwing up, saying baby is normal. We immidiately rushed baby to Emory Children hospital and they did his surgery to fix the problem. Doctor from Emory said, we were lucky that we went to Emory on time and they could save the baby. All the above carelessness was not expected from such a big hospital.
