Went 12/12/15 on our trip to Lookout Mountain as we are not local. We wanted a local place to eat for lunch and had already decided to try this based on the reviews. We had the pork BBQ and it was perfect. The sweet BBQ sauce on the table is awesome. My son (12 years old) had some sort of turkey sandwich (I can't remember) and he kept saying how it was really, really good. The service was great and I would recommend it! We dined outside because the weather was wonderful, but the inside is small, but I like the atmosphere and decor. Funky and fun. Highly recommend!

Had just finished Ruby Falls tour and family was hungry. Saw good reviews for this place and took the chance. So glad we did. Excellent barbecue pork. Barbecue sauces were exceptional. Hash brown casserole is to die for! Good kids meals. Didn't get to try desserts, but have no doubt they'd be good. We'll definitely be back here on future visits to Chattanooga. Whatever you do don't eat at Rock City cafe. Service is slow, food is expensive and not very tasty.

What a place. Great food and great people. Staff was terrific and the food was outstanding. I loved the smoked burger and my wife said the pulled pork was the best she has ever eaten. We don't go much for atmosphere in a restaurant, we like quality food and good staff and we found both at The Purple Daisy. We will definitely be back, along with some friends in tow.

Very unimpressive, has that all around cheap feel. Salad on styrofoam plate, plastic utensils. I had to request more salad for the salad which I'm almost certain was prepared by the manager/owner. For $8.00, I should have drove a few more miles and sprang for Zaxby's, and I don't even like Zaxby's that much. I had ate here a couple times a few years ago, now I know why it was only a couple times, and several years ago. I did leave a 15% gratuity for the server who did give good service, but this will be the last dollar I spend in the "Purple Daisy".

Sorry you feel that way. But I did not make your salad. And when did zaxbys stop using Styrofoam plates and plastic forks. We cut our salad mix and veggies up fresh daily and take pride in not opening a bag like the chain restaurants. My employees are not perfect but all you had to do was ask and you was brought more with No questions asked. I hope you will recosnider and give us another try on me.

Had the pork tacos with spicy slaw - DELICIOUS! We tried to share the banana pudding, but ended up having to order another. 😂

Exceeded our expectations. We stopped to get some dinner after Ruby Falls and we were had low expectations. But the food was quite enjoyable. The ribs were meaty and tender. I liked the tangy sauce. The baked potato was fluffy and most, my son approved of his grilled cheese (even with the swiss cheese) it was good local food. It's close enough to the highway that I would stop for lunch on my way to and from Nashville.
