The people were so nice! My little sister got an adult meal while everyone else got a kids meal, and the kids meal came with a treat. When everyone got their treat the waiter asked her what treat she wanted because they thought that she should get one too. We love purple daisy cafe!

I work in the area and this is my go to for lunch. Their menu online isn't great so keep in mind the one in the restaurant has more/more detail. They have a variety of smoked chicken, pulled pork, rib, or sandwich options (try the rainbow sandwich with cucumber spread, pimento, and chicken salad layered). They also have award winning banana pudding, which was 100% amazing. Oh, and they have their own parking lot and outdoor (porch) seating.

Some of the best barbecue in Chattanooga. Besides the barbecue, they have an amazing baked potato, burgers, and pimento cheese hot dogs. It has a very great environment and kind employees.

The best part of the potato with pork was the butter. The pork was cold, had no seasoning or smoke flavor. The potato was barely warm. Their sauces are ok, but nothing special. My wife got the chicken which was also cold with absolutely no flavor and was like rubber. We waited 15 minutes for banana pudding and it was not worth waiting for. I've had better from a store bought mix. The service was very slow and the waitress never checked on us.

One of the Best of Chattanooga hidden gems, in St Elmo, 1/2 block to right as you walk away from bottom of the Incline Railway landing. Had BBq pork, of which I am no fan and IT WAS FANTASTIC, and the quantity of food places it as one of, if not the best bang for your food dollar. Eclectic environment, family run and managed, overall whenever I am near I will be eating there each time.

I come here for the bbq potato, but I've never been disappointed with anything else. Best bbq in the city.

Very unimpressed especially considering what the reviews claim for this food to be. I got the potato with chicken and banana pudding. The chicken was cold and severely under seasoned and the banana pudding was ok, but I've made better with boxed pudding, whip cream and bananas. Other members of my family said their chicken and pork was very bland. The only flavor any of the meat had was a little smoke. And their mud/dirt pudding was just frozen pudding w ice cream on top with a little bit of crushed Oreo on top. And to top of the underwhelming experience: the service was extremely slow.

Went 12/12/15 on our trip to Lookout Mountain as we are not local. We wanted a local place to eat for lunch and had already decided to try this based on the reviews. We had the pork BBQ and it was perfect. The sweet BBQ sauce on the table is awesome. My son (12 years old) had some sort of turkey sandwich (I can't remember) and he kept saying how it was really, really good. The service was great and I would recommend it! We dined outside because the weather was wonderful, but the inside is small, but I like the atmosphere and decor. Funky and fun. Highly recommend!
