This resource from the University of Manchester Library, Skills@Library, University of Leeds and The University of York Library on "Social Media Guide for Students" is currently doing the rounds on various UK HE forums. They wanted to help students understand how they could use social media to enhance their studies as well as boost their employability. They thought others may find it useful and may even want to point their students to it.

This is really a question for the Community owners. Is this community going to be used for next week's EDC-MOOC 2? Or has a new community been set up for that instead?

I'm the Community Teaching Assistant (CTA) for EDC-MOOC 2, so would be nice to know if I am following the right community :-)

I was please to discover that my picture of Augustine House, Canterbury Christ Church University's Library and Student Services Centre, was selected as one of the "University libraries of the 21st century" that featured in The Guardian's Higher Education Network pages. Over 200 images of libraries from around the world were submitted and The  Guardian and they chose just 20 of them.

On Tuesday 11th June, 2013 I attended a very informal gathering of teachers, teaching assistants, academics, student teachers, learning technologists & other education related professionals. The event was called “Edubury” which provides an informal space for people to share ideas via short inputs and presentations and is seen as an informal alternative to externally driven professional development. I gave a short presentation, in the style of a Pecha Kucha presentation - this is my experience.
