West Jordan-based Rock West Composites is in Dallas at the Auvsi Xpotential 2017 conference. According to Tom Preece, the company's custom composite rods, tubes and plates are big sellers in the unmanned systems market. https://www.rockwestcomposites.com

Leslee from Salt Lake-based Coda Octopus Colmek is at Auvsi Xpotential 2017 promoting their airborne, land-based and maritime-based mission computer for unmanned and related systems. It's a component on Apache helicopters and has a wide range of commercial and defense-related capabilities. www.colmek.com/u92

Need to track your hunting falcon...or research drone? Marshall Radio Telemetry of North Salt Lake has the gear to get it done. The company specializes in producing tracking systems (transmitters and receivers) for falconers, houndsmen, game hunters, researchers and drone users. Stephen and Kevin are staffing the booth at AUVSI.

When it comes to unauthorized drones, sometimes you need a high-tech "flyswatter." Tim Bean, CEO of Provo-based Fortem Technologies, is exhibiting at the AUVSI conference in Dallas this week. Fortem offers a range of defense systems against drones, including DroneHunter. More at www.fortemtech.com
