What a great place to stay. I stayed here during the Christmas season and the decorations inside the lobby area were AWESOME. This place offers elegance and historical significance. Even though I felt a little out of place with my hoodie and New Balance on, instead of my Gucci zoot suit, I was welcomed professionally and respectfully. Nice stay at the Drake.

"Drake Hotel, Chicago" -- at a tender age that was my introduction to The Drake hotel from Mission Impossible, and clearly it made an impression as I hiked along the Magnificent Mile to see The Drake. The hotel on the outside is not that impressive, but inside the hotel is beautiful and well-worth a look. I sat in the lobby/bar area and drank tea, listening to the fountain, and watching the other patrons. It was relaxing, but I also thought about my next mission!

The Drake hotel is an elegant one. The renovations are simply put, Amazing. Pricing isn't bad for what you get either. I loved it. 5 Stars all the way!

This Great stay ruined by Andrea the concierge. Screwed up 2 reservation for dinner screwed up tickets for the theater. This woman wouldn't listen to what we wanted kept making suggestions which we rejected and then went up on her own to do what we asked her not to do. We didn't use her suggestions went our own way didn't see the show we wanted. AND SHE AND THE HOTEL CHARGED US FOR CANCELATION OF DINNER RESERVATIONS AND WE NEVER SAW THE THEATER TICKETS. AND ARE EXPECTED TO PAY FOR SOMETHING WE DIDNT ORDER. WHAT A RIP OFF HOTEL... ANDREA REMEMBER HER NAME.

Love the Drake...always have. On my tour of teas and holiday teas around the world I made reservation. After a decades absence at the famed Holiday Tea time had shown the effect. The court badly worn out in need of restoration or modernization. The decoration old, dirty showing years in storage and use. Table service..nothing matched. Plates chipped. Luke all came from a discount cafeteria sale. The seating excellent. The woman handling the receipt between yikes. Honestly the three staff...three coming to take order did not speak English. They understood nothing. No cocktails champagne ever arrived. The tea came cold never refilled. The food rather dried out. Nibbles tasted good..but nothing exceptional or wonderful. For twenty bucks and tea or coffee shop gives you better food and drink. Certainly it is a traditional family crowd..nutcracker and Drake Holiday Tea..but come on...serve a decny tea with hot water, make things sparkle..clean the place..update your service wear..have wait staff understand the customers language..and hire a musician to play holiday music at holiday longer can I hive a recommendation for tea or holiday tea at the sad!

Just got back from marrying the love of my life and celebrating with an amazing party in the Gold Coast room. Everything about the whole weekend was magical. We will be returning to the drake hotel for Valentine's Day the next 50 or 60 years I hope!

STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! DON'T RUIN YOUR TRIP!!!! We were really looking forward to a nice weekend of good food, shopping, and hoping for an enjoyable hotel. The Drake Hotel was anything but enjoyable. First off, the hotel is very old and ran down. It must not have been refurbished in a long time. The room was tiny, the shower dripped all night, the old pipes in the hotel made tons of noise all night, the air conditioner barely worked (the room was terribly hot), and the many of the staff members were rude (especially one of the managers-Eloy). I was made under the impression that the parking was for 24 hours and when we left, they told me that I had a $33 fine since we were 4 hrs late (which was not my understanding). The manager was very rude and unhelpful. He said the hotel would not help my wife and I with the late fee, even if it cost us never coming back. Eloy, a manager (who should be a representative for the Drake Hotel) couldn't have cared any less when I told him that I was going to share my opinion on this website. Unbelievable.. Someone probably will comment on this post trying to resolve this, but they will just be putting on a front unless if they decide to refund me the $33 that was unjustly charged. Seriously, angering a customer over $33? STAY AWAY FROM THE DRAKE HOTEL!

The Evian water I decided to open from the fridge had a strange nasty smell....& It's supposed to have never been open.... You have to pay for wifi......& anything else they offer like the fitness center...broke bitches! what hotel makes you pay for amenities like that?? Can't even get free wifi? I can get that at Starbucks! Now I see they charged me $8, $9, Another $12 & $75 on my credit card! All I did was open the Evian ($3) & I paid $12 already for wifi. Lets see what the issue is here.... Just ridiculous...Not worth the vintage feel. Ugly, smelly like a cheap motel & overcharged!
