Food is overcooked and salty. USED M.S.G heavily. You felt thirst after the terrible meal. SUPER OVER-PRICED. Not worth of your money and time. dont know where those good comments came from. I guessed the restaurant had its employees write those lies. Going there was a misfortune. NEVER GO THERE!!!

Sat night just right! Food was great and a wide menu selection. From seafood to pastas something for everyone. What really caught my attention was freshness, cooked just right and service. Ex: Desert selection wow-ed us! Cheese cake w/ blueberry's? or the apple baked crunch w/ cinimmen ice cream ? WOW! Impressed and would recommend!

So the Fall Local Restaurant week is in full swing now, and I just moved to East Amherst, so I decided to try a new local place, La Scala. For $20.10 they offered a salad, entree (steak, scallops, ravioli), and a crepe. This is the worst dining experience I have had in years. Initially, it started off pretty nice, reasonable prices on their higher end wines (less than 100% markup), tasty bread, then the courses started. First was the harvest salad - apple hunks, frisee, and some other stuff, uninspiring, but edible. Next were the mains, I had the hanger steak, and Katy had scallops wrapped in prosciutto. First upon being delivered, I thought my plate was a joke. Honestly, the portion was insulting. After tasting the jerky like piece of meat, I was fine with it's 3 oz. size, because it was awful and I didn't want anymore. The flavor was bizarre, I feared it had gone wrong, mentioned it to the waiter, and no reparations were offered. The scallops were thoroughly undercooked, translucent in the center, with rubbery prosciutto wrapped around. One of her scallops was bigger than my steak. I would have a photo, but left my phone home since this was a date. He offered to refire hers, we just wanted to leave. The crepes were cold, heavy, and unappealing. All in all, I was disgusted with the entire experience (except for the bread). I will never go back to La Scala, and hope I encourage at least 1 other person to choose somewhere else to eat.

The atmosphere was nice and the waiter was pleasant. He unintentionally offended me by defining simple things like couscous, risotto, and porterhouse steak. I look younger than my age but I've been fine dining for over 7 years. I ordered the Eggplant Rolatini and my date ordered Frenched Pork Chop. My dish was not impressive and was not worth $19. However, my date's dish was cooked perfectly. The 1.5in thick chop retained its moisture. The glaze on the chop was light but flavorful. That dish was $22.

ok - I dont know what people are talking about here, I have had a some of the best foof ever at this restaurant. if you are looking for a cheap price you wont find it, but you will get what you pay for. I had the best, and I mean BEST steak ever at this restaurant. If you like Fiama's or Tempo then you should like lascala's. I have been going to this place for over 5 years and have yet to have a bad experience, let alone food. I am not that fussy as far as service goes as long as I am not being ingnored, but I expect good food and they deliver!!!

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I took my daughter there for her College graduation. We had a party of nine. The waiter was terrible uninterested and rude, and his overall service was terrible, the food was extremely overpriced and tasted freezer burned. When we tried to get some improvement for the evening- it fell on deaf ears. It took us over 1.5 hours to place our dinner order and another hour to receive it. We were never offered drinks more than once, half the table was never offered bread until we complained. I could go on and on - all I can say is STAY AWAY!!!

I'm not sure but I think they use frozen food and microwave it.The ambiance at the bar is okay if you want to have a beer and watch a sports game, but you'll run out of money fast because drinks are very expensive here. I hear they go through a lot of chefs, and that's never a good sign. Oh yeah, and they don't pay employees any benefits, so the money you spend here doesn't go to good people.
