I had a great experience there. Great service, huge portions and amazing food. My only complaint was the greasy booklet they brought the check in. I had to wash my hands after handling it. Otherwise iit was great.

this is a review of the reviewers. I have eaten at great Italian restaurants in NYC, all over Italy, in Charlotte, San Francisco, Istanbul, Turkey, Athens, and so on. My family has Italian heritage as well. Anyone who has reviewed Carrabbas below a 3 star is either an idiot and an a**hole. Yes some servers can be trying but I have never had the kind of service in a Carrabba's that these people describe. A lot of people I have observed, try to get a free meal by complaining and it is these folks that mess things up for the rest of us.

We love Carrabba's and have been going for quite a few years, but the Carrabb's in Hictory on this date (7-10-2013) left a bad feeling with the management/ownership of this establishment. We took a couple friends to have dinner with us to the restaurant. We had two coupons for lobster and steak. the coupons did not say that each person had to have a copy of the same coupon to get the meal. Before ordering, I asked the waitress if we all could have the dinner of of two coupons. She said she didn't think so but would asked the manager. The manager came to the table and we told him we had coupon that said we could have a discount for the meal. His statement was that for four people, he needed a coupon that could have been printed from the computer and copied for each person so he could turn it in. I asked him if he would make a copy. He said he would not. My friend and I got up and went to the hotel at a 100 feet from the restaurant and had two more coupons made up from a copy machine. We go back into the restaurant and order our meal with the four coupons that we now have. The waitress comes to the table to take the order and tells us we no longer need the coupons. she said that the manager is also the owner of Carrabba's had told her to honor the two coupons and did not need to take the other coupons that we had gotten copied. The manager/owner or who ever he is never came back to say anything to us.... We ordered steak cooked medium. All the steaks came out on the well-done side. We all ate without complaining. When we got the bill and paid for it, we left. After getting home and looking at the bill, we find that we paid for an item that we did not get....A call was made to Carrabba's stating the fact.. We were told that for credit for the overcharge, we need to come back to their restaurant. Carrabba's is 40 miles one way. For food and service that we enjoy from this restaurant, maybe manager/owner needs to go back for training in the hospitality of guest. Since I travel 40 miles with different church members for food at Carrabba's, I guess going to Charlotte will be our area to go for now own. w

We have been devoted customers for a long time. Recently however things are changing. The food is always tasty, service is great, but: the side salads have shriveled down to small munchy. The chicken dish we ordered couldn't have had more 2-3 oz. of chicken on the plate. Now we are faced with no olive oil on the table. The oil and spices brought to the table literally was enough for two slices of the bread. In an effort to cut cost and show a better profit for stockholders the Carrabba's chain in my opinion will pay with lost customers which means lost profits. Come on Carrabba's you can do better. You are literally cutting off the customers who feed you!

Love the food, but I remember the good ole days at Carrabba's when the portions were much more generous. We ordered the special Sunday and the meat sizes were 4 oz tops. Small pasta portions as well. The soup and bread are still the same, but I think the bean counters are too involved now that Carrabba's is a public company. Too bad, I guess all good things come to an end. I sure other long term patrons have noticed this as well.

Quality of food and service good, but not the place for a relaxing dinner to much hustle and bustle in to tight quarters. You may want to skip the salad probably could get a better one at the corner diner.
