"The Silence" Documentary on big screen!
Everyone Remember along time ago I participated in a short documentary called "The Silence" well it will be in 8 film festivals in April 2016. It is also up for an Oscar! My story is one of the stories featured in the film and my voice tells my story while ...

I learned something new today. I was diagnosed with conversion and somatiztion disorders in 2010 because of unexplained medical symptoms and warning signs of something being wrong with my body.

I had in 2013 heart ablation surgery for an irregular heartbeat and for 18 years I was told I had panic attacks. I ended up having a small heart attack that could have been deadly while I was training for an half marathon. I also passed out at the movie theater again they didn't know... why and I had all the symptoms of a stroke and doctors said nothing was wrong. Well I found out by my cardiologist that it was all warning signs of my heart condition that would have been discovered if they would have put me on a 24-hour EKG.

Then today, I had the familar pain in my stomache, vommitting green stomache acid, and the runs. They gave me morphine, nasea meds in ER each time I had this problem over 5 years now. Then I became allergic to morphine and it was a critical situation. They always checked for gal bladder and found nothing.

Today I was told it was a large ovarian cyst that ruptured and blood was around it. Then the medication they gave me I was critically allergic to and it took three different pain medications to help me. I was given three bags of fluid because medications made me dehydrated. They gave me nasea medication and Vicradin for pain. I have to go to my obgyn to get it checked and make sure that nothing else is wrong.

Someone told me that they have to remove the cyst. Did anyone have this done? Please pray for me.

Also I want to point out that the doctors were wrong again about conversion and somatization disorder for me. Everyone with mental health get dismissed because of stigma.

You need to keep advocating for yourself mentally and physically don't stop because it could be serious and even kill you.

Here is a fun laugh!

Did you work so hard to climb the ladder in your career and then when you reached the top you figure out what you have been working for wasn't your passion?  What were the lessons you learned?  I would love to hear from you about your experiences!

We need to open our eyes. This video opened mine because I tell my kids not to talk to strangers and not to trust them. I however am a grown-up and I know I am safe as I talk to strangers to be neighborly in stores, smile ask how people days are and promoting my book, etc. My son is 8 years old and while he is with me talking to strangers, they may ask him "What are you learning in school, "What are you planning for the summer.?" He will tell them "Your a stranger I am not... telling you." or He will act mad and sometimes be down right rude to someone I am talking too. It would embarass me and I would follow up with him after we leave, "Why are you being mean?" "That is not what I teach you to do!" It wasn't until my son said you teach me not to talk to strangers, they are mean, could hurt me, could take me away from you. I said, "Yes, this is true." He then tells me that is why I am mean, don't want to talk to them mommy because I don't want them to take me away. WOW Bang I was giving my child mixed messages. I explained the difference but he still does this sometimes. Now however instead of being upset with him I tell the stranger that I have taughht my son not to talk to strangers for his protection. They understand. However the video of the puppy scares me because I see my son outside our home when strangers walk by and he runs up to them to pet the dog everytime. I come out and talk to the person and then talk to my son about being careful and only if mom is with you.
