Veterans Expeditions

VetEx Supporters,

Can you take 7 minutes out of your day to watch our short film? Stacy Bare and I started Veterans Expeditions because we were tired of hearing about all the negative statistics surrounding our veteran population today. We heard a great deal of opinions on how to address the issues. We just didn't see any action. Veterans Expeditions is doing something to reverse these negative statistics. We will have a full schedule of trips and expeditions out soon so stay tuned to our website. For now, watch our film, pass it on. Help reverse these statistics by helping Veterans Expeditions. Ask Stacy and I how you can help. 7 minutes on this Veterans Day.

A big thank you goes out to Danny at Kahtoola who so graciously sponsored our STOP 18 campaign by donating 18 pairs of snowshoes and crampons for our veterans to use this winter and many winters to come.

Thank You all for making VetEx what it is!

Reverse the trend of 18 veteran suicides a day.
Introduction

MissionReintroduce veterans to the great outdoors and help them connect with fellow vets from multi-generations and give them a positive, safe space to be who they want to be without judgment.

VisionTo assist vets in achieving a well-adjusted and balanced lifestyle to reduce suicide rates and other negative trends affecting the veteran population.

Focus PopulationRecently returned and disabled veterans.

How: By encouraging camaraderie, introducing physical challenges and developing new skills development in a team setting outdoors.

Explanation: Success in the outdoors is never guaranteed, but if one never gets to the base of the trail and takes the first step, one never knows what might be possible. By preparing and taking veterans on outdoor expeditionary challenges Veterans Expeditions will prove to those participating and observing, that military veterans, regardless of any existing or perceived mental or physical disability are capable of contributing to a team’s greater strength and accomplishing a difficult mission.

Our expeditions allow participants to bear powerful witness to society and one another about their own military experiences, regardless of gender, race, religion, disability, or time of service.
