TL;DR: 1) Google Fit goals don't seems to be updating correctly on my phone 2) Google Fit isn't tracking steps properly in track activity mode on my Nexus 6P

Background:
I used the Nexus 5 with Google Fit for 12+ months and really came to like it. I felt it was fairly reliable at tracking steps, active time, even distance. When I switched to my 6P I noticed that I was getting confusing observations.

When I use activity mode, it will only record around 50 steps, even on a 1 km run. I often go in and correct the steps (multiplying the km it observes * 1250).

When I don't use activity mode, its actually more accurate about steps and distance.

In both cases, the new "goals" feature isn't working.

The old goal type, which I had set to 60 minutes / day, is working both on the web and on the phone.

The new goal type, which I have set to 3 runs per week, isn't catching runs on the phone. On the web its catching too many.

I ran Friday, Monday and Tuesday since the update. My phone reports zero runs this week (I expect 2, Monday and Tuesday). The web reports 8. I do sometimes pause for 5 minutes during a run, perhaps the web is summing up all the separate segments?

Many other things are mostly working, though the GPS tracking is all over the map, its not as important to me.
