"I thought you could only walk halfway into the forest, then you started walking out."

I suppose I'll find out when this finishes, in but 37 hours.

Hardwicke House was a comedy made for adults, broadcast nationally – entirely by accident – at peak family viewing time. I know, because I was 11 when I saw its only two broadcasts before it was abruptly yanked from the schedules. It was never repeated and never released n DVD, but the two episodes surfaced on YouTube, salvaged from ancient VHS recordings.

I wrote a guest post on it for my frequent collaborator Jon Dear's blog about obscure TV.

Reminder that John Scopes of Monkey Trial fame was in trouble 92 years ago today for teaching race science and while science needs heroes he ain't one of them, unless you want to lionise a man who tried to fight for the right to teach that black people were a different species.

I've been going on and on about my kickstarter, but the best thing I have ever written is Chariot, a game about the dreams of childhood, oppression and the sins of empire. I never put as much passion into a game. Nothing I have ever written is as good as Chariot, and nothing I am ever likely to write will be. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/183575/Chariot-Fantasy-Roleplaying-in-an-Age-of-Miracles

Got my 100th backer today, which doesn't sound like a lot but is the best I've ever done with a crowdfunder.
