Ta Da!!!
My DEATHFLAKE Afghan, Tunisian crochet in the round.
Approximately 60" square

(pattern process is in my blog at crochet.community)
http://crochet.community/creations/4686-deathflake-tunisian-afghan-in-the-round
Inspired by The Deathflake by Art Fiend and my teenage granddaughter’s interest in skulls these days, I thought I’d turn the Deathflake design into an afghan. I’m currently loving the Tunisian Crochet, in the round, (I love the reversibility) so that is what I used. I blogged the process and the pattern here, http://crochet.community/blog_series/76-deathflake-tunisian-in-the-round-afghan. Overall, I am VERY pleased with it.

It took me 21 days but I was pushing it and at the end, with over 100 stitches per SIDE, I really had to push myself to meet my 3 rows per day quota.
As for skill, well, it's just one stitch at a time. Quite easy, actually. (except for the 3 days where I was completely exhausted and should have put down the hook.)

I'm so excited.
I am creating an afghan for my granddaughter, using Art Fiend's "DEATHFLAKE" design. I have been holding my breath, waiting to see if the skull looks good using a 9mm hook. All is well!! It is a skull.

(I am writing the pattern, as I go. I can't wait to see the finished creation. You can find the pattern progress here: http://crochet.community/blog_series/76-deathflake-tunisian-in-the-round-afghan)

Turquoise in Sterling Silver by Tammy Byrd
View details here: http://jewelers.community/creations/1982-turquoise-in-sterling-silver
This is an early piece that I received from a good friend. I wrapped this piece in Sterling Silver wire. It is a natural stone meaning that it has not been stabilized, dyed or heat treated. Thanks for looking, Tammy

A lady that has had me build photo props for her asked me to build this for her: I said sure! I used 1/2 a sheet of 3/4" plywood for the whole thing, except the tail and the propeller. I drew it up on my tekla program, then i cut out all the...
