Oftentimes, we find ourselves thinking that what we believe is the right way to believe. Sometimes, those beliefs are based off of something we've read. For many people, that something is the Bible.

I'm not going to diss the Bible, but I will just say that it is a widely praised archaic book living in a much, much more modern world. I'll put it this way. If the Bible was a person, and it walked the streets of NYC on a daily basis, by the end of the week we would probably find it dead in a gutter.

After reading a disturbing article on someone's beliefs concerning sex, I was furious; however, I used that fury to write a blog post, and I would say I feel much better about the final product. After all, nothing pleases me more than to write about what I believe -- all the while, keeping in mind that not everyone believes the same things I believe -- and hoping that others will agree, and if not, hoping that they will at least offer some insight.

I give you seven truths I believe everyone cannot ignore and can accept about sex. What do you think about sex?

In a perfect world, the choice to shave one's legs and armpits isn't a response to the pressures of modern beauty standards and self-consciousness, and the choice not to shave one's legs and armpits isn't a fierce reaction to misogynistic beliefs of being less beautiful without shaved body parts. In a perfect world, the choice to shave is just a choice. In a perfect world, the choice not to shave is just a choice, too.

Earlier today, I donated $25 through the +ThirstProject so that someone will have clean water for his or her entire life.

Five minutes ago, I read my horoscope for today, and the last sentence of it says "Do a good deed for someone."

A lot of people don't think astrology is real. Well, it's real to me. Saving a life is real to me, too.

My Latest Obsession: BABYMETAL

So, since last summer, I've been obsessed with all things Japanese. I started teaching myself to write the Hiragana, and I taught myself how to say simple phrases in Japanese. (This is all thanks to +J Pod by the way!) Slowly but surely, I started falling in love with the anime. And then the manga. I had listened to random j-pop music before, but I never really caught onto it....

...until one group came into my life.

It's three girls, and they started this group when they were 12-14 years old in 2010. Basically, the group is death metal mixed with j-pop. Babymetal is Kobametal's dream come true, his own vision made real. I've never listened to Kobametal, but Babymetal exists, thanks to him! Praise!

I've been listening to this group nonstop for about a week, since I discovered them last Thursday. But now I want to know what you guys think. Listen to this song and watch the video, and comment telling me your opinion on BABYMETAL.

An·ti·he·ro n. pl. -- a protagonist who has little heroic virtues or qualities, blurring the line between hero and villain.

Ok, I love these photosets, but I wish I knew who all the characters are! Can anyone help me?

Here are the ones I can identify, starting at the top left and moving left to right down on both photosets:

First photoset
1) Orson Welles as Kane from Citizen Kane? I'm not sure about this one.
2) Jamie Foxx as Django from Django Unchained
3) Not a clue!
4) This is from A Clockwork Orange. I've never seen it, so I don't know the actor or character.
5) Not a clue.
6) That's Hugh Dancy! Unfortunately I have no idea what movie this is.
7) No idea.
8) Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver

Second photoset
9) Dr. Who. But I couldn't tell you the actor.
10) No idea.
11) Clint Eastwood! Dirty Harry? Not sure which movie.
13) Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden in Fight Club
14) Uma Thurman as The Bride / Black Mamba / Beatrix Kiddo in Kill Bill
15) Daniel Day-Lewis as Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood
16) Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I would love if you could help me out with the ones I'm not sure about, because I really want to see the films! Thanks :)

If you have seen any of these, what do you think of them? Out of the ones I was able to recognize, I love them. They're actually some of my favorite films!

"You're only given one little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." --Robin Williams

From my perspective, everyone I know gets into spells of depression from time to time.

However, most people I know also don't realize that depression is a terribly powerful condition. It's only when we hear of someone taking his or her own life that we start to wonder how taxing depression can really be for someone's heart and mind.

After the death of Robin Williams, many fans were shocked and torn apart by the loss of such an inspiring man and actor. I feel their pain because I am one of those fans. I was probably four or five years old when, for the first time, I watched a movie with Williams in it. From then on, I fell in love with his ability to make me laugh, as well as make me cry.

And he certainly made me cry when I heard the tragic news of his passing.

Dale Partridge wrote this eye-opening post about depression. Read his inspiring words here:

The death of Williams prompted me to write about death -- why and how we can accept it as a part of life. Read my post about accepting death here:

When someone dies, we feel like life gets that much more difficult, as if death reminds us that we all have to die at some point. I hope my post can help you realize that death may be the end of someone's life, but it does not end the memories we shared with that person. His or her spirit lives on, in our hearts and through our memories.

"To live... to live would be an awfully big adventure." --Robin Williams as Peter Pan in Hook (1991)
