Nothing says "have a great year" like coconut cake. Happy birthday, Kumi!
"As seen on TV" usually means spray-on hair or knives that are supposed to cut through soda cans. But, that's not all. If you order within the next 10 minutes, they'll double your order of crap.
But, every so often, an infomercial advertises a good (and sometimes great) project. I really like this Little Giant ladder...it is well made and versatile. And, I love Mom for always looking out for us, generously gifting those things that she thinks will improve our lives.
Every time I go to the doctor's or to get blood drawn, I'm reminded of how hard my little patients' lives are, and how resilient they become. I brace myself and cringe for just one needle. They endure so many and a little sticker is usually enough to make them smile again.
Sometimes one needs to be cautious, and have contingency plans. Other times, one needs to throw caution to the wind to get things done. I took a good look at my watch when I hit ten miles today. My legs were tired. And, this was only the half-way point. Doing the 20 mile training run as an out-and-back was a bit of a leap of faith. It also meant that I wasn't going to quit early. I was slow as molasses but I'm glad it worked out!
Even though you pooped in our living room and peed in the study (even after I took you out over a half-dozen times)...even though you woke me up 6 times in two nights and made me sleep on the floor with you...I still love ya, Bob.
It's the Fugu that I do at the Paint-a-Pot.
Technology has brought us thousands of songs at our fingertips. But, sometimes I miss pressing that big, heavy button on the diner jukebox to pick a song...four selections for a quarter.
I just woke up from a nap and noticed that it was 5 minutes past midnight. So glad that I sometimes take photos of lunch bags at the office (my only photo today). It may not be all that artistic; but, 315 days down and I'm still "alive". Sometimes it's just about survival. Game on.
p.s. Thank you, Jenn, for an awesome lunch. It really helped me to get through the day.
