Some promising news for anyone who has suffered a spinal chord injury.
About 12,000 people suffer spinal cord injuries annually in the U.S., many of whom are relegated to a wheelchair for the rest of their lives, but new technology designed to help them walk once again is making its way through the FDA approval process.

Great blog post by Brett Emison of Kansas City on why strong moral conservatives should get behind the opposition to medical malpractice caps. #medmal #tortreform #justice

Good news for Florida. And we agree with this sentiment 100%: 'Medical malpractice caps are arbitrary and unfair. These caps restrict how much an innocent victim can receive in a case where a physician’s preventable mistake results in the death of a patient.'

There is definitely a lesson to be learned here. Nothing posted on the internet is private.

'According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, never events are mistakes that are considered unacceptable.' But they do happen, and when they do, you need an ally.

"Banks and businesses love forced arbitration, because it is a process they control for their own benefit. It shields them from accountability by closing the courthouse door to consumers. But no one should have to forfeit consumer protections and legal rights to use products and services." NY Times, via Take Justice Back

A local law firm, a world of experience.
Introduction
At our law firm, people come first. Our clients come to us seeking justice. They need to know that their future has promise in a time of turmoil. They need financial security. However, we also know that people do not file lawsuits just to get money. Many times, the true motivation of our clients is to ensure their tragedy does not happen to someone else. We understand that concept of justice and strive to change the habits and practices of negligent physicians, drivers and manufacturers. With more than two decades of recognition as a successful Springfield personal injury and employment litigation firm, clients throughout southwestern Missouri turn to us to provide effective representation and sound legal counsel.

Founded in Springfield, Missouri, more than 20 years ago — ours is a full-service law firm dedicated to providing exceptional personal service and high-quality legal care. Today, our practice represents local clients in the southwest Missouri area. However, we also represent clients throughout the state and from other parts of the U.S.

Our firm's diverse practice areas include personal injury and wrongful death resulting from auto accidents, medical negligence, birth injury, personal injury caused by defective products, and employment-related issues such as workers' compensation and workplace discrimination or harassment. These are the areas we will focus on in this website. However, we also have attorneys who have significant experience serving the needs of clients in business, insurance, real estate, and trust and estate planning.
