OK Go, I don't love their music... but holy shit can they make videos.
Yesterday, I mentioned that Needing/Getting by OK Go was my new jam (I'm late to the party, I know), at thisismyjam.com.

I love the fat, wet, grungy guitars, and the production of the track (the entire album, really) is fantastic.

So I linked to the official video in my jam thing, which I always try to do if there is an official video available, and didn't watch it until this morning. What I saw blew my mind (and 21 million others, apparently): the band did this promotion with Chevy where they set up a track with instruments and other noise-making things, outfitted a car with smacky-things (very technical, I know), and then recreated the entire song by driving the car around the track.

It's just gorgeous, and I wanted to share it, in case there are other people out there like me who hadn't seen it, yet.

If you haven't heard the studio version of this song, I highly encourage you to listen to it, first. It looks like you can find it at Facebook, but I have disconnect turned on so I don't see anything at this page (your milage may vary): https://www.facebook.com/okgo?sk=app_178091127385

Really interesting bit on slowing down birdsongs and seeing how much they actually sound like human music. Also a neat bit on stuttering in birds.
