The ACC Clay Club is hosting the Arapahoe Ceramic Guild Spring Sale TODAY and TOMORROW (9am-8pm both days).

Don't miss out on your opportunity to choose from a selection of hundreds of beautiful and unique ceramics. The Colorado Gallery of the Arts at ACC is located on the first floor of the Annex Building.

Admission is free and the sale is open to the public. Hours of operation for this event will be 9am-8pm both days.

PASSAGES LECTURE SERIES: COPING WITH A BREAK-UP

Join ACC counselor Lindsey Geiger for a presentation about break-ups and strategies for positive outcomes this Thursday, April 17, beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the Half Moon.

Geiger will discuss techniques on how to cope and grow positively from a break-up.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Contact student.activities@arapahoe.edu or 303.797.5668.

Student Affairs presents "The Vagina Monologues" on Wednesday, April 30, at 6:00 p.m. in Waring Theatre.

This award-winning play is based on V-Day founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women.  With humor and grace, the piece celebrates women's sexuality and strength.

The ACC Contemporary Journalism Program will host “This Just In: Journalism is Alive and Thriving in the Digital Age!” on Tuesday, April 29, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. in Room M3750.

This event, which is free and open to the public, will feature presentations and question/answer sessions with Bob Burdick (former editor of the Rocky Mountain News), Susan Thornton (former Mayor of Littleton, columnist at The Denver Post) and Ken Durham (award-winning columnist, ACC Contemporary Journalism Program Coordinator and Journalism/Photojournalism Adjunct Instructor).

Vice President for Administrative Services Dr. Cindy Somers enjoyed a visit with the youngsters at the ACC Child Development Center on Tuesday afternoon, April 15.

The ACC Child Development Center is now enrolling for the upcoming summer and fall semesters, welcoming children ages 30 months – eight years with school-age children during the summer only

Child care stipends are available in the fall for families who qualify. ACC employees, students and members of the community should contact CDC Director Kim Steele at 303.797.5678 or kimberly.steele@arapahoe.edu to schedule a tour.

ACC will host guest speaker Kurt Koontz next Thursday, April 24, at Noon in the Library and Learning Commons.

Koontz will speak about his book "A Million Steps", detailing his month-long adventure traveling from village to village along a route in Spain that pilgrims have followed since medieval times.

Description
Founded in 1965, Arapahoe Community College (ACC) was the first community college to open in the Denver area. What began as Arapahoe Junior College with 550 students has grown into a vibrant community college serving over 18,000 credit and non-credit students yearly.

With campuses in Littleton, Parker and Castle Rock, the College now offers nearly 100 degree and certificate programs. ACC is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
