This morning, I was interviewed by +Lori Lynn Smith  of Passion Diva Radio. We talked about what it takes to build a holistic hands-on practice, how practitioners are different from other business people, and what you need to think about if you're transitioning into a practice from another job.

You can catch the replay on iTunes and time you like! I'd love to hear what you thought about it -- leave a comment!

Are You Breathing LIfe Into Your Hands-On Practice... or Sucking the Life Out Of It?

I don't know of any modality that teaches you what you really need to know about GETTING clients while they're teaching you how to HELP clients.

The problem is that if you haven't already succeeded at being self-employed, you're probably doing the wrong things to build your holistic practice.

Find out why what you find on line may not make the difference you think it will in getting the practice you want.

Top Secrets of Successfully Self-Employed People

Are you one of the the countless hands-on practitioners who ended up being self-employed, when all you really wanted to do was help other people get the same kind of transformation you experienced in our own life -- through the work you do?

The rosy glow that comes with early fantasies of how wonderful it will be to be in charge of your own time is degrades into a sickly pallor in the cold, hard light of reality... the one where you realize that working for yourself doesn't mean doing less... it means "doing it all."

It can be especially heartbreaking if you're like most practitioners... and you never really wanted to do ANY of it other than the part that has to do with working with your clients.

Working for yourself doesn't have to be awful, but it IS important to find out what you need to do. It helps if you know what your strengths are and design your practice around them.

And as far as "what you should be doing" -- the easiest way to get started is to have a look at what other self-employed people -- the ones who are successful at it -- do and how they think about what they're doing.

Orientation to time is a key factor, and it's where we start... how many hours should you work, when you work for yourself? Check in by clicking below to find out how your work habits align with the best practices of successfully self-employed people.

How to Communicate the Value of What You Do the FIRST Time You Work With a Client

Don't you hate it when somebody comes to you for the first time, you have a great session together, and you just know they could get so much value out of working with you -- but THEY don't understand that?

So they leave without really becoming a client... without booking the next session, without committing to work with you enough to get the transformation you offer to your clients.

Some practitioners believe it takes 3 or 4 sessions for their clients to "get it" and make the decision to fully commit -- but how many people will come several times, hoping they'll eventually understand why they're coming?

What would it be like if you could communicate the value of working with you -- the very first time a new client arrived to see you?

Would that change your outlook, your practice, your bank account... your life?

You think maybe it would? Then I hope you'll click below because you're going to find out exactly what to do, to make your FIRST SESSION the one where people understand the value of working with you!

How would you answer, if a client asked Do I need classes or private work?

Most somatic practitioners regularly get asked questions that are hard to answer. How you respond can show you as the expert your prospective client is looking for... or something else.

When you talk with clients on the phone, and they ask questions about your hands-on practice, you need to respond to what they're really asking about -- not what you think you heard.

KNOWING the difference can MAKE the difference between getting a client and getting more time.

Find out the difference -- and how to respond like an expert -- in this post:
