We're no strangers to unwanted toolbars and browser-hijacking malware. Neither is Google. The company has released a tool that helps combat the problem by scanning for bad software and (optionally) resetting your browser if it's misbehaving.

I love this graph for everything it tells us about how amazingly difficult it is to realistically remove identifying characteristics of data.[1] See that interesting little divot in the graph? That is the line between failure and success.

Poland employs a fairly elaborate system to avoid bias and grade inflation: removing students’ names from the exams, distributing them to thousands of teachers and graders across the country, employing a well-defined key to determine grades.

Evidently it's not quite working. I'd try is to split up the grading so that no one reviewer knows the total score, under the theory that the graders don't want to flunk someone by just a few points.

[1] It's not impossible, just challenging! That's why it's interesting.
From the results of the high-school “maturity exam” in Poland (courtesy of reader Artur Janc), comes this histogram showing the distribution of scores for the required Polish language test, which is the only subject that all students are required to take, and pass.

WANT. NEED.
It’s a cardboard standing desk from Refold, and it’s “flexible, foldable, portable, affordable & 100% recyclable. The desk is designed to take everything you can throw at it, and then some. Capable of holding the weight of a person and made using durable 7mm thick, twin cushion, kraft cardboard, this desk will last!

Google cast Ready

The chromecast is dead. Its the Chromebook Pixel all over again. Its a Halo device meant to spark a new product category. This is why you didnt see a chromecast 2 this year. The chromecast 2 is Android TV and the set top box. The chromecast is a basic streaming unit. At some point people will want more. Google strategy again is not sales its to be on all screens. They build the platform and sit back and watch their OEMS partners innovate in the space. You hear some people say why would they create a set top box, Android TV when we have Chromecast. Who makes and sells the chromecast?? Google who wants to be on all screens. Google cast is how they'll get there.

"Google cast Ready" is a tagline for the OEM saying come adopt this technology. The chromecast is a catalyst. Its like the Android L preview thats there for developers to get their apps ready for the real launch. Everything works because developers already adopted casting to their apps. Its an easy sell to the OEMS now. Users are already familiar with it. The Most important part of the chromecast is the google casting technology which since then has become a Native Android feature. Chromecast is a BETA product introduced to get you FAMILIAR with Casting. NOW your brain links Casting to Google/chromecast. Similarly to how voice search went from your phone to powering android wear and Android TV. " I'm not talking to my phone or watch or glass or TV" years later those same people are doing just that. Android wear / TV devices are build by OEMs. Do you see the business strategy. There will be more casting sticks like chromecast made by oem partners because they want to create a compatible platform.

Google cast is the genius technology. The cast button will be everywhere and all over google products. Screencast is another branch off google cast. Android, Google+ and chrome already uses it. The chrome Team created Chromecast and The Android Team created Android TV. Even though the image is not really implying it but the chromecast is an upstream product meant to break the ice. The other devices are downstream meaning that the training wheels are off. They are also separated by price. Apple TV is rumored so Android OEMs will be in this space before APPLE arrive if ever.
