This venue is all about red velvet, quirkiness and a bit of burlesque. I came here to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show and I can’t wait to go back for another show. It was a great night of fun, different from all the others, full of black frosting cupcakes, flying objects during the scenes, stuffed toys thrown around and people just going crazy. The prices were unbeatable: 15€ for the show and 5€ cocktails (not great, but still 5€).

You order at the counter, pay, get a table to sit down and then the waiter brings your food and drinks. I was very happy with my vegetarian crep, but the waiters were very rude: they were almost yelling at us, asking who had order what, and if we didn't answer within 1 second, they would start walking away with the plate! Anyway, the food was good, and for that price, you can't expect much more than fast food service.

Cool atmosphere and nice dance music. What I liked the most in this bar was the central fireplace, where the fire was actually coming out of a pile of rocks. It has niches for sitting as a group while having a drink, as well as dancing space in between. When we came out, around 1am, the line was huge, so don't be late.

Finally a place that understands that very small "investments" can make a huge difference, such as simple coffee, tea, cookies and fruit available at the reception, comfortable pillows, internet that works in ALL floors (not only in the reception), etc. These add so much value to the hotel experience. The room was just a little noisy, but it doesn’t get much better around the Union Sq..

It's not hard to find good mexican food around the Mission but the atmosphere in this restaurant makes the difference. Besides the colorful decoration, the waiters are very nice and attentive. If you're not so much into beer, there are some good wines to go with your spicy food. The portions are well presented and small, so I recommend coming with a couple of friends and order some dishes to share.

Good bossa nova playing on monday nights, if you're up for a taste of Brazil in S. Francisco ;) This bar has a cozy atmosphere, offers good cocktails and has a very convenient location if you’re a visitor staying around the Union Sq..

We ordered 2 main courses and the waiter asked if we were going to share. We said yes, so he offered to bring one dish out of time, already split in two plates. "Perfect!" :) The food was amazing, and keep in mind that portions are very generous. The decoration was simple and elegant, and the view spectacular. I recommend calling ahead to reserve a table upstairs by the window.
