Any Gilbert and Sullivan enthusiast knows the story of their first collaborative work, Thespis, or The Gods Grown Old, which was premiered in December of 1871. Today the libretto survives, but the music is lost, except for two individual pieces that can be verified from the original score.

On Thursday, October 16th, 2014, the Foundation will host its first annual Fellowships & Grants Awards reception at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in tandem with the Philadelphia Film Festival’s Opening Night festivities. $2,500.00 Grants will be awarded to four lucky winners at the Foundation’s pre-film Awards Reception...
