Eaten here so many times I can't count now but the food is always amazing. Carne asada & eggs for breakfast or the Honey carnitas & short stack of pancakes is life changing!

I actually went to Mas Malo ready to not like the place. I looked through the menu online and options on the menu like kale or vegan menudo made me assume this was going to be a painful dining experience. But then, we arrived. What a beautiful space, it is gorgeous, I could've stared at the ceiling all night, but then my food arrived. My chile relleno, rice, and beans were as authentic as those from my grandmother's kitchen, although I can't really remember her ever making chile relleno, but you get what I'm saying. And if you're into the alcoholic libations, you've got plenty of options, I personally had La Guera, horchata and rum, which was AMAZING!

Mas Malo can be summed up with two words (even though I'll take more): chewy chips. You might not see them listed on the menu, but you should always ask for a basket, and then get ready to order a second one. The salsas that accompany them are tasty, even if the rest of the food disappoints. The space is cavernous, and it's a good meeting spot for friends. Once you're finished, it's just a quick stroll up the stairs to Seven Grand.

Margaritas are amazing! They use El Jimador for their house margaritas.

My only complaint about Mas Malo on a recent visit is the guacamole. Don't order it! It was bland and pasty, no zip or flavor at all. I left it alone. The irony is that the Kroger nearby has excellent guacamole. The tables can be a bit sticky also, but I love the photos on the wall and the dark, grotto like interior.

Went there for a nice Saturday brunch and couldn't have been more delighted. Reasonably priced fare with some very creative Mexican dishes. Honey carintas, pancakes with an egg on top. I highly recommend

Good looking restaurant in DTLA. Food isn't why you'd show up there but the bar is their strong suit. Try the upstairs bar for a less crowded experience.

The food is actually pretty good. Tacos are legit and the elote too.
