When J.Brian and Diane D.Phillips visited the resort everything looked very pretty. We were prepared to stay a few days. However, the biggest disappointment was no WiFi. Also no mini bar. If you want music from their system...It'll cost you $10.00 So my Husband I complained about the WiFi to no avail. I was fuming. They said they were trying with their tech to fix it. I did not care. They did not fix it. We said we're going to leave this place right now. We said we didn't know we had to bring our own liquor. If you want to be ripped off with a la carte everything Chateau Elan is for you. We packed up our stuff and we were polite about it. Two thumbs down for this place.

If you want to get away and really relax and learn about wine and food there is not a better place in GA to spend a weekend. If you have a $1000.00 to spend its perfect. Take the gov suite and be at awe with the privacy and beauty of the room and the view over the whole vineyard as well at the castle. Being honest, not real crazy about the breakfast seeing how it was all turkey based sausage and bacon. I'm from GA. Kill a pig and make good time use of it. The staff will more than go out of there way to make you happy and will almost make you mad trying to help you have a hands free weekend.

I booked the 'Culinary Tour' overnight package for my wife's birthday... what an excellent experience! The staff was top notch. The food... my writing skills would never do it justice. -Bottle of Chateau Wine & cheese plate in room after check in, (accompanied by an unexpected birthday card) -Three course dinner at 'Le Clos', (each dish was literally a work of art... take a camera). After our first dish my wife said, "This is the best Birthday Ever!" -Drinks & excellent live music at Paddy’s Irish Pub -Breakfast buffet at Versailles - wow! Minus drinks and tips, our total was less than $500. No longer searching for overnight packages. Next stay, 'Dinner Under the Stars".

Was hard to find someone to check in with at 11:30 after my driver had called ahead to make sure someone was there... Directions to my room were wrong. The building has an odd layout where you check in on level two, one floor down is level "A" and another floor half way between is level 1. The main elevator does not access floor 1. Staff could have been more helpful in explaining how to get to my room. AC is very uneven in the building. My room was hot and muggy and the conference rooms were extremely cold. Food was passable. Grounds are beautiful. Did not golf or use the SPA.

Beautiful buildings and grounds. Horrible service the restaurants especially. One night we couldn't gets seats at 3 different restaurants, at one we couldn't even get a staff person to talk to us, so we left the resort to have dinner in town. At another they told us the kitchen had closed....at 6 p.m. There are better places for you to stay.
