I just released a new version of MLT, which you prefer instead of git master to compile against recent FFmpeg releases.
Version 6.0.0 Released
This is a bugfix and minor enhancement release. Note that our release versioning scheme has changed. We were approaching 1.0 but decided to synchronize release version with the C library ABI version, which is currently at v6. You can download it from Source...

CrashPlan self-upgrade on my fileserver went haywire and now the install dir is 147 GB! Then, the fileserver backup to S3 proceeded to backup that doubling that portion of my monthly bill. I also hate that the CrashPlan java agent on my Linux desktop uses 1 GB RAM. I have better things to do than tend to backups, and I bought into CrashPlan for the convenience, but I think it's time has come to an end.

Looking forward to the Rush concert tomorrow night. While they have a lot of inspirational songs, "Mission" really strikes a chord with me. Please excuse the pun.
One of the last Rush concerts I went to was Hold Your Fire, which was in surround sound, and my seat was on the floor right next to the mixing and lighting consoles, which, of course, means it sounded awesome! I don't think I have ever been to another concert in surround sound - not that most really need it.

Interestingly, +Shotcut could play these HDR UHD files on my OS X machine (choppily) but not VLC, Quicktime, or surprisingly ffplay (might require option to prevent frame-dropping). No, MLT/Shotcut does not yet support BT.2020 colorspace or even a full 10-bit path, but we'll get there.

Just came across this freelance request to build Shotcut for Windows with a different theme color and logo. I hope they change the name and the help menu links to shotcut.org in the process. But why? Probably going to monetize it in some awful manner.
But yeah, good luck with that. It is not easy even though some directions are available on the website. I wonder how soon I will get an e-mail or forum message asking for help to build it. Yeah right.
