My sister-in-law is an amazing vocalist and performer and she has openings for students. I have had the pleasure of singing with her at family get togethers and she is wonderful. One of my favorite memories with Miriam is taking her dancing in Cleveland. We had a great night of dancing which featured among other things her ending up on stage as a vocalist with the band. She was from out of town, no one there had ever met her before and she ends up as vocalist for the band, she really is that amazing. If you want excellent training from an amazing person I cannot recommend anyone more than Miriam.
My wife is looking for both voice and piano students. Her studio is here in Lindon, Utah. Please reshare!

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry was announced today and I was pleased to see it going to Jean-Pierre Sauvage, Sir J. Fraser Stoddart, and Bernard L. Feringa "for the design and synthesis of molecular machines."

Early in my time at the University of Oregon, spring of 2005 I think, Stoddart came and gave an excellent talk about some of his work on Molecular electronics. The thing I remember most about his talk was his synthesis of a molecular Borromean rings. They had published the synthesis just a year previous to this talk.

One of the members I knew as a missionary in Colorado had a waterjet cutter. It was amazing. He made a few Superman symbols for me out of carbon steel, stainless steel, and out of 1 inch thick stone.

I've wanted a laser cutter for a long time but with the Emblaser from Darkly labs that I have this might just have pushed a full laser cutter down a row on my wish list.

Here you can see the difference in resolution between a Nexus 4 (318ppi / 1280×768) cell phone and an Amazon Fire Tablet (171 ppi / 1024 x 600). It is interesting to see the different shape of pixels as well. All of these images were taken at 100x magnification. I've also included a letter e on the Fire.

I gave Marcelle vanilla beans and 750ml of vodka for Mothers' Day. The vanilla finished recently and we bottled it today. I tried to make the labels look like they were from an old pharmacy.
