Tonight is First Baptist Church of Knoxville "Lessons, Carols and Candlelight" Christmas Eve Service at 5:00pm. Doors open at 4:00pm with pre-service concert by Brian & Debbie Debby Daniel at 4:40pm.

I hope to see you, but if you can't make it in person it will be broadcast on Fox 43 and streamed online.

Software Updates make phones feel like new again. My Samsung Galaxy Note 2 just updated to Android 4.3. I will say that having my updates mediated by carrier and device maker has been a change from my iPhone experience, where I was pushed newest update the day it came out. Now I've (finally) been updated to 4.3 when 4.4 came out at the end of October - who knows when (if) my phone will ever get it.

My Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is updating to Android 4.3 from 4.1.2, skipping 4.2 altogether. I'm glad the update has come, despite the fact that 4.4 is the new standard bearer for Android. Makes me wonder how much blame for the delay goes to touchwiz overlay and how long Samsung will keep the current set-up of building on top of Android.

Pumped about my fantasy football draft this evening, but I think +Drew Winder will kill it this year with value based non-emotive drafting on the turn. He doesn't reach because he doesn't have connections to personality or fanhood. That ups the advantage of the turn with non of the downside. Genius!

I bought this book, RG3 The Promise, yesterday, and basically read it in one sitting. It is a well written and interesting take on the first year of Robert Griffin III as an NFL quarterback. I think it does well at looking at the culture of American football and our national quandary with this violent game we love so much.
