We have frequented Melissa's for years now and always look forward to the change of seasons as it brought with it a new seasonal menu. We were very disappointed that very little changed from summer to fall/winter. In fact some of the more wonderful pasta dishes, such as Chicken Milanese, Meatballs& Pomodoro and their wonderful seafood(mussels)& fettuccini are no longer even offered. What's left is somewhat limited and bland. We entertain quite frequently during the holidays and look forward to bringing our guests back. In fact they mention these wonderful dishes and they live in cities known for their culinary reputations. When I tell our guests that they have eliminated their menu of such dishes, we will be looking to the East side of Cleveland at restaurants that offer variety. Very sad about their lack of ingenuity on Melissa's owner /manager

It was a little spendier than I was looking for as a mid-ride snack, but the pulled chicken tacos were amazing and they had my favorite non-local IPA in bottles. Friendly waitress, cute little patio that was just a little too sunny, and a great location near the Rocky River Reservation.

Have been here many time's. Food is usually very good but on last visit calamari was horrible, cold and like chewing rubber.they have a sonoma salad that's alway's good. Sadly, the good food here can't make up for the poor service. Suggest going at off peak hour's they seem to have aa problem with both quality and service when extremely busy.

Food was really good. Decent selection of craft beers, skimpy selection of wine. Nice but small patio. Service was kind of slow and the staff wasn't bad, but they didn't seem to be overly excited to be waiters.

This is one restaurant that fits perfectly into its niche. Like Max's Deli before it, Melissa's has decent food and a great atmosphere in a convient location. I can't fault the service or the food and I appreciate the philosophy they support in their cooking. The layout is reminiscent of a dining hall or a cafeteria and that may be the only real drawback I have - sitting at the middle tables just feels odd. From the sweet potato fries to the fried green tomatoes and the sandwiches, I can always find something that I want to eat here. Appetizer presentation is always nice as well. Whenever my girlfriend and I can't think of a place to go, we end up here, because its a great little place. They do have a surprisingly deep bar and great happy hour deals as well. I also enjoy their cakes and desserts. I stop by here once or twice a month and I'm never disappointed.
