A zhemzuu korkin in her house in Nuida during a snowy day. A zhemzuu korkin is a hybrid of a Jamesian and a korkin. The have dagdza and leg scales like a korkin and the black hair and red eyes of a Jamesian. The house has a steep triangular roof to help make snow fall off the roof which is a common architectural feature in the Zardonian mountain range primarily the regions of Zwigara, Zyo’ia, Nuida, Azagara, and Assiria. The contents of her house have the typical features of a Jamesian house which are a raised bed with all her stuff stored under it and with pictures on the wall near it. A metal wood burning stove with a chimney vent that exits the top side of the house and a light emitting crystal. The fire altar placed on top of an incense burner is a result of the fusion of the Jamesian Ahurraism (A Zoroastrian inspired religion) and the korkin Miimaism(A polytheistic religion) where the use of fire as a prayer medium is mixed with the evil spirit repelling smell of incense.

The Jamesians and the Zwoti korkins have merged into a single state in 30,006BX when Queen Zheutyal Zwotizuu VI married King Ardashir I Kratius resulting in a personal union which their eldest son Peroz I Kratius inherited both the Jamesian and Zwoti crowns in 29,969BX. Though out most of Jamesian history the Jamesians and Zwoti Korkins usually bred with their own race with mixed race couples being rarer although many jamesians and korkins had formed families together and made these Zhemzuu korkin hybrids. Most of these hybrids often made families with genetically purer jamesians or korkins as opposed to other zhemzuu hybrids which results in their more unique mixture of phenotypes not showing up in their children. This can be demonstrated with Xerxes as he is a son of a Ssatrotu and a hybrid of an Anatrotu (the race Jamesian ethnicity belongs to) and a ssatu and a Jamesian but has the features of a Jamesian and none of that of a Ssatrotu. Therefore, these hybrids don’t appear as commonly as non-hybrids with the exceptions of some groups like the Shata (A ssatu / oxa hybrid) who often formed communities to avoid being bullied by the bigger ssatu or exterminated by the oxa.

The Zwoti korkins throughout Jamesian history were loyal to the Kratian Dynasty who ruled Jamesia and Zwotia. Nuida was temporally conquered by the Zardonians by King Konataius II during his conquest of the Zardonian Mountain Range (25,690 -25,672BX). The Zardonians ruled Nuida until 25,614BX when the Jamesian Constitutionalists led by the Knights of Ahura-Mazda defeated King Konataius III during the War of the Jamesian Constitution (25,622-25,612BX) which started when the increasingly corrupt Absolute Monarchy of the Kratian Dynasty tried to exterminate the Knights of Ahura-Mazda because they got in the way of the corrupt activities of King Faratiz XII. This caused the Knights of Ahura-Mazda to rebel against King Faratiz XII who was killed by the Knights of Ahura-Mazda who formed the Ahurraist Constitutional Republic of Jamesia which lasted until 25,394BX. During this time the Knights of Ahura-Mazda and their Magi enforced strict religious laws such as forbidding corpse burial and forced the population to follow their religious rituals, many Zwoti Korkins fused their own religious rituals and traditions with those of the Ahuraist jamesians as a way of following their own faith while following the Ahurraist religious laws. The Ahuraist Republic ended when a constitutional monarchy was established by Queen Mukirya I Mazdari’in, where the Monarch, the Knights of Ahura-Mazda and the Council of Governors and Generals shared power and agreed on things based on the Jamesian Constitution in order to minimize corruption and tyranny. Despite retaining their religious freedom, many zwoti korkins continued to follow an Ahurraist-Miimaist fusion religion.

The map of the Planet that Xerxesian Chronicles takes place on 35XY. The planet goes by many names in the Xerxesian World. The Anatrotu cultures such as the Jamesians , Zaratians , Harratans , Astarts etc call it Luka'iaos (world of lands and seas) while the Karakinian Peoples like the Korkins and Karutu called it Bizanyi in korkin and Buzanhya (both mean the land of mortals). The Oxa, Ryuutu and Haapitu call it Lianka or Lyonka meaning everywhere land. The Ssatu refer to this world as Foshainzuzia (World where the mortals and spirits meet). But for the sake of convenience, this planet will be referred to as either as The Xerxesian World.

The Xerxesian World has many biomes like many other planets with forests, snowy tundra, grass plains, arid steppes, mountains, deserts, savannas, dense and dangerous jungles, swamps and a vast salt mash that lives in the southern part of the continent. The planet generally gets an east blowing wind as evidenced by all the deserts being on the eastern side of the great convenient. The planet is 2.5 billion years old and Pangea continent has formed with many mountain ranges where the tectonic plates have smashed together. The average service temperature is 21 °C/ 70 °C. Its highest mountain is Mount Jatazasik at 10.5 km tall mountain and its deepest trench the Underworld Trench which is 1.3 km deep. The climate varies based on the position of the 3 suns which the average temperature increasing by 15° when they are aligned towards the planet and decreasing by 15° when they are aligned away from the planet. These quick changing climates have made the local plant and animal life incredibly resistant to sudden changes in temperature as the two smaller suns have and the Xerxesian world have different orbit lengths.

The Xerxesian world is occupied by an egg-laying humanoid species called Jamesianoids who live all over both the land mass and the sea as the aquatic Tastsetu lives in most of the shallow parts of the sea to avoid the monsters of the deep who lurk in the depths. Most jamesianoids come in many sub-species groups with the most common being the Anatrotu (including Kizhatu, Zrama, and Tyattu) at 25% ,Danians at 14% , Karakinians at 13% , Ssatu and Wita at 12%, Oxa at 9%, Tatsetu at 8% ,Hanapyans 7% and other types making the last 11%. The current world population of the Xerxesian World is 1.35 billion with an average fertility rate of 4.9. Adult Jamesianoids have the strength of a silverback gorilla and can use a subconscious magic ability that automatically heals them when they are hurt for as long as they have the spirit energy to do so. They take 20 years to mature and live until their 170 as past the age of 150 their bodies begin to lose the ability to retain its own soul as a jamesianoid will die if it loses it soul completely. Jamesianoids are also disease immune and for the most part poison immune with exceptions with substances like Ahrite which can “corrupt” jamesianoids.

The technology level of these 1.35 billion jamesianoids ranges from late bronze age to the mid-dark age although the use of magic as created spots that are more advanced technologies while some tribes have yet to leave the stone age. The aquatic and amphibious jamesianoids are stuck in the bronze age due iron and steel rusting in water, especially in salt water forces them to use bronze and green metal. The deep parts of the jungle are stuck in the stone age as tribes savage each other for resources and the jungle caves are full of junatu, a furry spidertaur subspecies of jamesianoid who live in caves. Most jamesianoids live in the western part of the continent as the environment is more suitable for jamesianoids.

Takura being pulled out of her temple through one of the two exits after the Jamesians gain control of Takurium Ruins after defeating the Balatians during the events of Xerxesian Chronicles: The Sword of Ahura-Mazda while Xerxes was in Zarat fighting the Zardonians in the 4th month of 10, 35XY. While Xerxes and Tesipiz had opened out the hole that Takura escapes from, while there is another way out of Takura Temple, Takura herself didn’t know of it as that way was opened by the Balatians in 34XY. Takura is glad to be outside as she hasn’t been outside for 7,569 years.

Takura had been trapped in her temple by the Astarts during the Astart Conquest of Takurium in 7,534BX. Takura is a local korkin deity who was also the leader of the Takurian Empire (15,025-7,534BX). The Astarts bricked up most of the exits, built a statue of Astarte over the sunroof and filled in all the others. Takura was stuck in the dark with nowhere out and often slept for days at a time, wondering around looking up at a metal grid where the light shown through, wanting to be free and breathe in the light and the fresh air.

In 25XY during the Atazeran war between the Jamesians and the Astarts led by Atazera, the Cult of Ahriman had managed to resurrect the Ahrimaniom and corrupted Astart dikizhatu and digyokatu while they were in their stasis chambers. The Cult of Ahriman, the Ahrimaniom and the ahirte dikizhatu and digyokatu destroyed the city of Takurium. A hastily made jamesian and astart alliance managed to gain control of some of the city with Xerxes going into the Temple of Astarte to fight a possessed Atazera, Ahrimaniom Astarte and then an Ahrimaniom shell powered by an Ahrite corrupted Ato’ssa. Takura was scared that the Ahrites will find her and eat her, but the Cult of Ahriman didn’t know of Takura’s existence, so she was spared.

After the 4th death of the Ahrimaniom to Xerxes’ hand and Atazera and Ato’ssa both freed from the Ahrimaniom, Atazera was convinced by Xerxes to rebel against the Astart empire in the Atazera rebellion (25XY-28XY) until she was defeated by Astarte at the battle of Suzume Plains. Bardaiya hiding himself and striking the Jamesians in a guerrilla war in Lower Orodia. The defeat of Atazera as well as Bardaiya’s ambushes forced the Jamesians to retreat and the Astarts regained controlled the ruins of Takurium but did not rebuild the city. Lord Bardaiya hired 50,000 Balatians to control Axeria and Takuria in 29XY with Takura Forest becoming functionally autonomous and south west Axeria rebelling and breaking off in 30XY.

During the Balatian occupation of Takurium ruins (29XY-35XY) the city was covered in large amounts of graffiti and was neglected resulting in the Takura forest growing up to the walls covering up old farms and abandoned villages which allowed the Takura korkins to occupy them as they battled the Balartians who lost control of the forest very quickly.

In 35XY the Balatians under orders of Lord Bardaiya invaded the Jamesian Kingdom after Xerxes had took the last key needed to get to the Sword of Ahura-Mazda and defeated Bardaiya’s girlfriend Lakatinu. 10,000 Balatians attacked the Jamesian Kingdom with some groups making it as far as Zarat. King Darius ordered General Megabazus with a force of 50,000 to capture Takurium ruins. This forced mercenary King Balartius to send in his general Tasniimrya with a force of 30,000. The Jamesians and Balartians battled in the south-western Takura Plains where the Jamesians were reinforced by the 10,000 strong Takura-Korkin militia. After the Jamesians defeated the Balatians, they took over Takurium Ruins and found a hole in the ground with Takura stacking boxes up trying to escape. Megabazus got some of his troops, got a rope and one of his soldiers pulled her out.

Takura after been freed was allowed to govern her city, the city of Takurium under jamesian control which was then settled by jamesians, axerians and takura korkins who started to fix up the ruins which were still mostly intact, and the city started to recover allowing the Jamesians access of the natural resources and farmland of the Takura Forest and Lake Takura region.

Tesipiz throwing bombs at his girlfriend Tsekrei’s old shield outside of the city of Gilgamorium between the events of Xerxesian Chronicles: The Sword of Ahura-Mazda and Xerxesian Chronicles: Astarte’s Challenge. Tesipiz is a knight of Ahura-Mazda grenadier and is skilled in making gunpowder and bombs which he throws at his enemies. He often practices throwing bombs and exploding javelins on a weekly basis. His girlfriend Tsekrei often watches when she is not guarding her fellow zaratians in Gilgmorium.

Tesipiz met Tsekrei in Xerxesian Chronicles: The Sword of Ahura-Mazda and despite not being a korkin who Tesipiz as a thing for and has statues and dolls of them, he took a liking for her and said that he will date her if he came back on his mission to collect the Bardaiya tablet pieces with Xerxes and Volkara. Tesipiz came back and Tsekrei saw that as him being a man of his word and she became his girlfriend.

Tesipiz decided to stay in Gilgamorium with his Tsekrei making bombs and exploding javelins for the Zaratians who are allied with the Jamesians. The Zaratians tried to get the gunpowder formula from him but he stopped anyone from touching his forehead. Tsekrei could touch Tesipiz’s forehead when he was sleeping but she didn’t as she didn’t want to break the trust she had with Tesipiz. Tesipiz liked Tsekrei for that and his liking for her deepened.

Tesipiz does try to find ways to turn Tsekrei in to a korkin or a lizard lady but hasn’t found a way to, but he often jokes about it with Tsekrei. Tesipiz also spars with Tsekrei and tries to destroy her old shield by throwing bombs at it. Tsekrei gets excited by these explosions and likes that her old shield can take a beating.

Karutu climb running up a cliff using their wings to help push themselves up and stabilize them preventing them from falling off. These karutu are having a wall race (Karuyiyishuv in Karutu) where they run up then and alongside a cliff face or a very steep hill following red cloth markers until they reach the end marker which is usually wrapped in a purple cloth. The rules are simple, keep to the path set by the markers, don’t fall and don’t fly. The karutu’s large wings can push them into cliffs or steep slopes and push them up at speeds of 25km/h ( 15.5 mph ).

This sport that the Karutu participate in has existed since nyahiksa times and the sport started when the Nyahiksa who had small wings and could not fly saw some species of birds run up trees using their wings to help them. This resulted in some nyahiksa trying to climb trees using their little wings, some were able to and then they tried running up steep hills and mountains. The ones who succeeded were honoured for their achievements.

This allowed the nyahiksa to colonize the mountain tops allowing them to protect themselves from the Balata and Hiaza oxa who often raided Nyahiksa territory. The Nyahiksa often used their ability to run up and alongside steep slopes and cliffs to raid and attack the oxa. This made the Nyahiksa’s wings more useful and encouraged the growing of even larger wings. Soon the Nyahiksa were gliding from one side of a valley to another.

Eventually the Nyahiksa’s wings became big enough to allow for flight and when this happened the Nyahiksa became the Karutu and with the ability to fly, the Karutu had no need to run up steep slopes and cliffs as they could fly under their own power. This didn’t stop the Karutu from running up steep slopes and cliffs recreationally though and the sport as remained quite popular amongst the Karutu. Every year on the 11 day of Byuungaku (the 8th month of the Karutu Zodiac) the great mountain ridge race happens where karutu run from the southern border to the northern boarder then back to the capital of Karushin. The winner got a golden nyahiksa statue made for them after the race had finished.
