What kind of species does this proves us to be : a cruel, greedy, and evil at its most revolting and sickening form i guess...
Do you that 500,000 animals will be slaughtered this 28th and 29th November in the name of God? Gadhimai Festival that is celebrated every 5 years in Nepal will have people even from India participating in animal sacrifice. Know more about it in this digital report by Megha Mamgain.

Somehow i always felt that Lucky Ali never got his due place in the India music world, for someone so immensely talented as him, he remained more or less on the sidelines... for me these songs bring back high school memories....

New York City - Snow - Walking Through Lower Manhattan

(the full set is here!: http://nythroughthelens.com/post/70047039276/new-york-city-snow-financial-district

If you have been following along with my posts, it’s pretty clear that I have been pining away for a good snow here in New York City. Earlier this week I posted some photos of Central Park’s most beautiful winter views and a compilation of photos of a snowy night in Manhattan. Well, I am happy to say that today definitely delivered in terms of snowy goodness.

After a hearty breakfast, I headed out to explore a part of Manhattan I rarely get to enjoy in the snow: the Financial District. I have photographed the Financial District quite a bit but never during a winter storm. It’s actually one of my favorite parts of lower Manhattan. Between its historic streets and its gotham-like feel, it’s hard to not get swept up in the cinematic elements of the neighborhood.

There are more photos in this set. I have only posted a few here. Want to see the rest along with a location guide to where these were taken? View this post over at my New York City photography blog here:

12 Nov 1986 - A Saudi Airlines Boeing 747 and a Kazakhstan Airlines Ilyushin Il-76 collide over the village of Charkhi Dadri, near New Delhi, killing all 349 people aboard the two aircraft in the deadlist mid-air collision in history. The accident happens as the Saudi Airlines aircraft departs Indira Ghandi International Airport just as the Ilyushin Il-76 is arriving. Kazakhstan Airlines pilot Gennadi Cherepanov does not speak enough English to communicate with air traffic control and relies on his radio operator to talk to the tower and read his flight instruments over his shoulder. The radio operator realises that Cherepanov has misunderstood an altitude change directed by air traffic control. As he starts to climb to correct it, he collides head-on with the Boeing 747, severing its port wing and horizontal stabiliser, and his own aircraft's tail. Both jets plummet to the ground from around 4,300 metres. The 747 hits the ground at over 1,000km/h, burying wreckage up to 5 metres into the ground. #aerospace #history

There would always be a debate on "who was the best actor in Bollywood"
Beyond all doubt & ages nobody would be able to re-enact the charisma that Dev Anand produced on the screen for half a century

Avoid this restaurant like plague, pathetic food & extremely slow service. Not sure about the positive reviews the bad service may just be downside of cultural divide if you are not South Indian

The food was hands down great!! Nan's were crispy, made just right & curry was excellent as well, they do get quite busy so it is a better idea to get here early. The one thing I would caution against, they didn't accepted credit card & insisted on paying cash, usually not a big deal but I am not quite used to carry much cash & anyway it's not very usual in states for restaurants to insist so much on cash instead of card.

Very posh & nice, bed was comfortable & i had an excellent sleep, this is not the cheapest of hotels but they have paid a lot of attention to security & if you get a higher floor its a priceless view of frankfurt that you get rewarded with. There is a Starbucks on the corner which was good since the breakfast at this place was ridiculously costly, cabs are lined up right outside so pretty convenient for airport transit

Excellent food, one of the best Indian places i have been to in Frankfurt. Highly recommend their mango lassi, i was surprised that they didn't featured on yelp or google reviews, the only downside as with a lot of indian places, they insisted on cash.

Food was definitely good. The owner is from Delhi & there was a lot of punjabi influence in the food to my delight, they made sure that the spiciness of food was adjusted to match my taste buds :) The location is right next to a shady area but it is pretty safe even during late night.

When i got there it wasn't much crowded at all, that usually is not a good sign. That being said I got a very warm service & the food specially item 55 Bangladeshi Gemuse was delicious, it wasn't overloaded with spices, as usually indian subcontinental places tend to make it, was just the right balance. Dessert was not all that great, but i guess that is just not their speciality & the entree had set the expectation tad bit too high.
