READ THIS BEFORE SERVICING A VEHICLE: I normally do not provide reviews but feel compelled to share my first and last experience. Phone conversations very cordial and professional, as implied by all the positive reviews, so went ahead with the work. Background/Context: Had my vehicle towed to the repair facility due to a coolant failure that left the vehicle unable to be driven (would overheat otherwise). Needed the coolant problem repaired (primary), which had already been repaired in 2012-2013 with upgraded Porsche aluminum coolant pipes replacing the plastic OEM design. Also needed an oil change (secondary). The reasons I will not return to this establishment are: 1) Minimum necessary - I ended up requesting a photo of the part failure, insisting that the first shop had properly replaced the coolant pipes with aluminum kit and provided the invoice and part numbers to them to prove it. When I went to check out, they still tried to charge me for the extra $1,500 coolant pipe kit which was neither needed nor installed. Had to refuse to proceed and demand to speak to the manager, who then removed the charge. 2) Integrity / Quality Assurance - when I got in the car the battery area had been sloppily closed up and the ODBII code scanner plastic cover laying on the floor. Checked the oil to confirm it was 'at level' and it was 1 quart down/low and the oil was dirty. At this point, went back into the office and requested the same manager to come outside and observe first hand: A) ODBII cover and Battery cover not put back the same as when it was delivered to them (initial response was, are you sure it wasn't like this when you brought it in); and the oil which made me vow never to return ($199 oil change - that when I pointed out was a quart low and dirty, questioning whether it had been changed at all - the response from the manager was that was normal to have dirty oil like that after a change and it just needs to be topped off; after further protest, an offer to "change it again at no charge" was made which I accepted, knowing it wasn't 'right' - long story short, oil and filter WERE NEVER changed and they 'forgot' to do it. 3) Still smell foul coolant burning smell after short drives implying there is still a possible leak; would surmise any residual should have 'burned' off in the 100 miles driven since obtaining the vehicle post repair. As an aside, and not the reason I will not return, it was comparatively overly expensive. The fees for this repair were MORE than the fees for the original full repair which included new coolant pipe kit for $1,500 AND a new starter $500.

Bad service, dishonest business. Do some research. Mr. Lucas has changed the name of his businesses multiple times to avoid bad reviews. Stay away from anything he's involved in.

First of all, I have this problem child car. This car has been to a lot of different shops. To complicate matters worse, I have a long history of automobile repair experience and find myself being judgmental of the work facility because I no longer work in one. Lucas Auto Care in Cedar Park has restored my trust and confidence in the whole industry. They are professionals on another level. This review is coming from a long line of racing family backgrounds. My family socials usually end up with long debates on "Air Density" Thank you Tiger Lucas for stepping up and taking care of me.

Lucas Auto Care is hands down the best auto care shop I've ever dealt with. They've treated me with an unmatched level of integrity through the process of fixing a number of broken devices on my Mercedes. Unlike the dealerships, they don't try to nitpick every little problem they can make up; after they showed me that the dealership completely fabricated an expensive problem on my car, I'm wondering how many thousands of dollars I sunk into unnecessary maintenance over the years. The techs at Lucas demonstrate a great amount of experience dealing with complex cars like mine, and when work ends up taking longer than expected, they don't lay the extra cost down on the customer. They genuinely want to make sure you're happy... I even got a call from the owner after my first visit making sure that I'd received satisfactory care. Bring your car here... you'll thank yourself!

I live in South Austin, but this place is definitely worth the drive! As a woman it is not easy to find a mechanic I trust to work on my vehicle and not try and scare me into unnecessary repairs because of my lack of automotive knowledge. Theses kinds are timely, professional, thorough, don't nickel and dime you, but above all HONEST! I'm very happy and will be back:)

The best auto care place we have ever used and pretty much the only place I'll take my corvette when possible. We had driven in on a Thursday and our transmission started having issues the last 250 miles. We lost 5th and 6th gear. When we got into town and called everyone said it would be a couple days before they could even look at it. We called Lucas Auto Care and they said they could look at it right away. Tiger met us at the door and made sure that knew about his shop and how they do things. Even when we thought we would have to drive back to El Paso with no 5th and 6th great they went above and beyond to get it fixed and had it back to us Saturday evening so we could drive back Sunday. Not the cheapest in town but definitely the best customer service and best value for those that want competency and do not want to be ripped off. Can't say enough about how good they are in all areas.

I was a customer of Lucas Auto Care in Houston and was delighted to learn they had opened a shop near my home in the Austin area. The customer service at Lucas Auto Care is exceptional! The prices are fair and the mechanics are very knowledgeable. Many of their customers trust them with their high end cars---that is what drew me to them in the first place. The parking lot at the Houston store was always full of luxury vehicles. The managers treat me with respect and they always remember my name. I highly recommend Lucas Auto Care.

If your car is in need of service, run, don't walk to this shop! The people were all amazingly professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. I was able to bring my car in on the spot, they provided a loaner car, and were able to beat out all pricing I had compared. They even washed my car! Excellent service, excellent care, this is defnitely my new car shop.
