Hello, I taught photography for 23 years at Wellesley College. In addition to studio based photography, I co-directed a Media Arts and Science major that combined the visual arts and computer science courses for a major. Both departments valued the skill sets and creative processes. I want to see how a course might be taught online that values creative learning. We found that the CS students had a difficult adjustment to the studio arts approach, and the studio students needed extra help with the CS courses.
Let's chat. I'm hoping that this course might shed some light on how to bridge the gap. The studio arts courses can be an excellent example of learning by doing, Making, Experiential Learning, etc. So far, I don't see the studio arts as part of this syllabus. It needs to be.
