I love my Man on Rock, and he seems more poignant today than he did when I made him in 2015 (also when I made Boat People). http://www.norlynnecoarart.com/Sculpture/Sculpture/i-MVnKRTD/A

L'Onda (Wave)

People who have seen this painting tell me they wish it were hanging in a corporate headquarters or hotel by the beach.

L'Onda: 25x102 in., watercolor and metallic gouache on Kozo rice paper
$5,800. Original triptych beautifully framed, floating on linen, 31.25"x110".

The story behind the painting: As a the wave approaches shore, the water becomes increasingly shallow. The bottom reflects more light up through the wave, and the water become brighter as it dances to shore.

At the December opening at Gloria Delson Contemporary Arts (where I was showing Meditations on Space II and III), I met an artist who had lived in this small Northern New Mexico village in the late 60s. I was there recently and took a few photos. This is of San Juan Nepomuceno Parish, El Rito, New Mexico. Archival pigment prints available. #fineartphotography If you're interested, get in touch! I sold the original oils a couple of years ago, but people always loved this diptych: Oceans I: Descend and Ascend. Why not prints? No reason, so here they are in a variety of formats: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/oceans-i-ascend-norlynne-coar.html (The one shown is Ascend.)
