Wrote a little something on the Los Angeles Kings' "sexual assault" Twitter mishap last week. The gist: If brands are trying to be personal and real people are steering the ship, mistakes are bound to happen.
The National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings run the best Twitter account in hockey and quite possibly all of professional sports. It's quick-witted, informative, humorous, and respected. I'd say the only other NHL team that rivals them from an entertainment perspective is the Columbus Blue ...

Love this article and Pitchfork's respectable, smart approach.

“Our goal is to be the best music magazine in the world, not the biggest,” said Matt Frampton, Pitchfork’s vp of sales. “We want to reach a specific breed of die-hard music fans, and there aren’t 100 million of those in the U.S. We’re not interested in the pageview or SEO games; for us, it’s about reaching and really engaging a relatively small group of passionate people.”

Great read on top brands moving social media in-house. Think most will eventually do it this way.

Just when you think you've seen the scariest tornado video, here comes another. This is terrifying.

My company +Educational Marketing Group, Inc. is making a push for a Mission Main Street Grant. We only recently created our profile so there are few votes. We're looking to get 250 by November 15th. If you have literally seconds you can help make a difference here. If you're feeling extra generous please share it with your family, friends, or colleagues.

A huge thank you if you do any of the above!

Howdy, all. Tina and I are throwing a pool party with friends in late July - specifically, Saturday, July 27th. It will be fun and we're planning on creative games. Feel free to come over beginning at 1pm. The party will go until we stop. We encourage everyone to bring a food dish if possible so there's a swell variety to choose from. An array of drinks will be on hand.

If you've never been to our house, we have an above-ground pool with a deck around it. It's built for this kind of thing so it's about time. Unlike public pools, ours does not contain pee, just as the title of this event does not contain "P."

Please RSVP at your earliest convenience. According to Google, even if you don't use Google+ you should be able to indicate if you're coming to this event. However, if you aren't able to formally RSVP, please email me at sbiernacki@gmail.com to let us know you're planning to come.

Hope y'all can make it. If you have questions or need anything, let us know. Any new information will be posted to this event page.

Update: Kids are OK. Rain or shine.

That is a cool device -- I'm sure we all have a story of turning around half way to work to lock our door. Interested to see how it grows and develops.
