In The Art of Somatic Coaching, author and expert coach, Richard Strozzi-Heckler, PhD, explains that in order to achieve truly sustainable changes in individuals, teams, and organizations, it is necessary to implement body-oriented somatic practices in order to dissolve habits, behaviors, and interpretations of the world that are no longer relevant.

Do you agree that the core values of compassion, wisdom and skillful action are our natural state of being, and that we just need to get back in touch with them?

After a recent Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) webinar in which Dr. Gabor Maté, defined addiction as “any behavior that has negative consequences that goes on over time that the person craves and relapses into despite those negative consequences,” Rak Razam (author of Aya: Awakenings and The Ayahausca Sessions) asks:

Is there a larger addiction itself that we can’t see, a gestalt that all individual addictions like drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, sex, power, money, the internet, et.al, point to? Is Western culture itself an unhealthy addiction, by this definition?

These days, readers consume information on a range of platforms, but many still prefer physical books. To make sure years don't pass between starting a novel and ultimately finishing it, Brazil’s Penguin-Companhia publishing house has created a smart bookmark that lets authors tweet at readers who have neglected their novel. If a book has been gathering dust on your nightstand for longer than a week, a tweet is sent from the writer’s account with a reminder to start reading again. As a reader, is this something you would find helpful or bothersome?
