I stayed at the Auberge for 5 night and had the good fortune to experience Chef Pierre's amazing meals every night. The truffle dinner--5 courses, ending with 4 separate desserts--was a stand out. The duck confit was succulent and delicious and when I had had a heavy lunch, they were happy to provide me with a light--but still delicious and delightful to the eye--vegetarian dinner. The maitre'd is exceptionally professional and friendly and the rest of the staff are excellent; you will feel you are in safe hands. We're so used to standard to OK restaurant service that a place this professional really stands out. The owners come through every evening to greet there guests and in nice weather the patio is delightful. There's easy parking. If you are in the area, I urge you to make the trip for dinner. Sorges is a small town with only the truffle museum as another reason to visit, but a meal here will be reason enough to go out of your way.
