- WBAL-TV Reporter
Jennifer Franciotti joined WBAL-TV as a morning news reporter in 2001 after spending nearly three years in the air providing helicopter traffic reports for the station through Metro Networks.
She came to Maryland in 1997 with her husband, Mike, who is a Baltimore native. Jennifer is a 1992 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo., where she majored in Broadcasting.
She became the morning anchor and reporter for KQ-TV in St. Joseph, Mo., where she covered flooding in 1993. She went on to anchor the news for KFEQ-AM radio, where she met her husband.
For several years, Jennifer has braved the wintry cold waters in the annual Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland.
The Franciottis live in Carroll County with their daughter, and their aging, but lovable (and still hanging in there!!) dog and cat.
Jennifer loves hanging out with her family, loves animals and is constantly making a mess in the kitchen trying new recipes. You'll always find a book in her purse, and in 2010, she started trying something new: Piano lessons!
