The Color 5 Mile race series advertises events in 100 cities and promises that runners will get to “blast each other from head to toe in thousands of color combinations.” The race series also appears to be a huge scam, according to the Better Business Bureau. For a second year, the BBB will issue a national warning against fake themed-races, spurred by a wave of recent complaints against the Color 5 Mile event.

Thoroughly unsatisfactory experience provided by the BBB. I recently filed a complaint against a roofing company that completely ripped me off to the tune of $5000.00 - the deposit I gave them for the job and then after they realized they didn't have the skill set for it they never showed up again to finish. The business owner never responded to my complaint yet the BBB website suggests the issue has been "resolved". My complaint is not available for the public to read (so that others don't become victims of this company). Unfortunately I feel I can no longer rely on the BBB or trust any business that aggressively promotes an absolutely worthless BBB "A+" rating (the company that ripped me off has an 'A+' rating despite not listing even a single positive review). In the future I'll stick to social media reviews (and reviewing) and I suggest others to do the same. I would strongly discourage anyone from putting too much stock in a company's BBB rating.

I have used BBB for issues I was having with GameStop. Gamestop was basically ignoring me for two months and not attempting to resolve my issues. After filing with the BBB, Gamestop "magically" had everything fixed within a week and gave me an official apology for their terrible customer service. Altogether, the BBB was great to me in both service and respect

I have used the BBB twice now, for two separate companies. My experience is that each time, the companies responded immediately to the BBB, when I couldn't get responses after weeks of diligent calls and mails. The process was simple, explained well, and the communication was excellent. BBB was efficient and obtained swift resolution. Excellent service- for a change!!! Instead of getting frustrated, turn to the BBB. Thank you!!!!

I joined the BBB last year, when my contract expired I was not going to continue service with them because it just seems to be a waist of money. The BBB doubled the rate that it was charging me under the contract and continued to bill my credit card with out my permission. I called them when I noticed and told them I thought that was a shady business practice and did not wish to do business with the any longer. The BBB continues to bill my credit card each month with out consent. They are thieves and a major waste of time and money. I have emailed them and got no response. We need a bureau to monitor the Better Business Bureau. I wish I could give them no stars.

I had Patrick Scoggins from lon Smith Roofing come out and complete the following job.They did three repairs all on the front of the house.They removed and replaced two 5x5 roof too wall areas on two story roof too wall.Installed new counter flashing at roof to wall on both.Installed ice/ water shield on both. Removed and replaced one 1x2 roof to wall area on single story roof to wall.Installed ice/ water shield. All went well they installed everything mention in the bid. The work was done once the rains stooped and allowed them the chance to get on top of the house. I was happy with the work it no longer rain in my garage. The guys that preformed the work worked so hard that during one of the days it got so hot that one guy would not stop but worked during extreme heat conditions until he was forced to take a break. They cleaned up all materials left everything neat and clean.

I utilized the services of the BBB when the company I was dealing with didn't want to work with me to take care of my issue. With the BBB's assistance the company responded to me within 48 hours and the issue has now been resolved to my satisfaction. A big thank you to the BBB, and especially to Stacey Tennerson in the Dispute Resolution Department, for the help I received; it's greatly appreciated.
