This place is located in a cute little park area, a nice departure from the industrial SOMA area. The ambiance was nice and the restaurant isn't too crowded. I would recommend it for business dinners. I wanted to like this place more but the food was just ok and very pricey. I had chicken, a glass of wine, and shared a salad with a friend and the total was $50, on the higher end for San Francisco restaurants. If you're looking for a casual French dining place with delicious food, try Chez Maman in Hayes.

This place is a killer combo of classy and convenient. You order at the bar, pay, get a number, and grab a seat. The food is outstanding - the menu changes seasonally, and it's always remarkable. Big portions served in a healthy, flavorful way. Keep it up!

Such a staple cafe for Southpark. You'll find startup founders, VCs, board members, and bums all having their lunch here. The talk here is usually about the next big thing or how terribly the gentrification of their favorite neighborhood in SF is - it's one of those kind of places. The food, nice solid comfort food, the ordering process is that you stand in line in front of the counter, and grab a menu and when your turn is up you order your stuff and then find a seat. The service is nice enough though a bit spartan. The prices are decent. When you find your self pitching to True Ventures or one of the other good VCs there, or doing your startup in one of the cramped rooms there - this is a great place to get your food fix.

Just had the lamb cheeks lunch special -- it was braised in red wine -- very delicious!! Again, I ate in and it just doesn't have the cozy ambiance that would improve the dining experience here. I ordered the pork confit salad a few times and decided I didn't really like it -- I really hate escarole and that's what the salad mostly is. What I do like is the lamb stew with pasta -- it's very hearty comfort food. I typically take my food to go -- the dining room is uncomfortable to eat it. It lacks character and the banquettes aren't cushioned. For those on solo lunches, bring your own reading materials -- they've only got US News, pretty boring.
