This past Sunday (April 22) was the 25th anniversary of the release of Mosaic, the web browser that first brought in the “inline” images we take for granted today.... and in so many ways brought about the Internet as we know it today. In 1993, I was teaching “Introduction to the Internet” courses to corporate clients, primarily in the northeast US, and so was watching Mosaic intently (and experimenting with the early versions).
