If you're looking to impress someone, come here. I LOVE the decor - the outside of the seating area where the bar is looks like the agrocrag from GUTS (I don't think they'd like to hear that though) and the inside is absolutely beautiful. It looks like a stately dining room converted into a restaurant dining area with a modern twist. And the food? Forget about it. Top of the line. Expensive, but a great experience.

a delightful, almost perfect culinary experienc e. preperations were highly unusual, allowing each course to be an adventure. beautiful space and almost perfect service.

formerly the "home of foam", this eatery combines "hip and sip" at the bar pre-dinner, with flashy service and a experimental menu. makes a great impression with new clients unfamiliar with nyc eateries.

I loved this place years ago when you had the feeling of sitting in an elegant living room. Plush and cozy. I was very disappointed today. They have replaced all the furnishings with coffee shop seating and put a candle in the fireplace. It feels like a starbucks in an elegant building.

the name fits as you feel like you are in a jewel box at this restaurant tucked into the former mansion side of the palace hotel. do wish had some choices but also nice to let someone else decide. some of the food were misses but overall the service and food were as expected for a place that charges 120 for a tasting menu. not sure if will return as need a special reason but glad i went.

Before dinner, have a drink on the patio and take in the views of the beautiful Palace Hotel. Dine on the Foie Gras, Cobia and the Blood Orange Sponge Cake.

these folks don't have the per se publicity machine, but it is perhaps the best restaurant in town. incredible imagination, quality, and execution, with service to match. if you truly love fine food with flair, this is the spot. have the tasting menus+worth every penny.
