Can someone tell me how submitted suggestions get vetted?  A submission to JIRA doesn't seem to garner a response until it is closed; even if someone is working on it.  How would I know if someone is working on it or if it was submitted and missed (e.g. due to volume of submissions or time of day it was submitted) is there a way that I can get it noticed?

JIRA is just issue tracking software, so its bugs.  If you have a request for a mod, try here: http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/forum/306-hack-mod-request/

Hi all,
Can anyone point me in the direction to officially request features in Omni? Google gives me links to XDA, a Google Docs file, Reddit & the Omni gerrit webpages as possible choices. I've also seen people post feature requests on Google+. The Omni website doesn't seem to give a clear avenue for feature submission.

I want to edit my AOSP Keyboard Dictionary to remove all the stupid auto suggestions the KB gives me while using the swiping for word entry.  It offers me words that I would NEVER use.  Anyone know how to do this manually OR an app that will do it?

Thank you in advance for the help, here are 2 points of clarity:
1.  I am using CM10.1
2.  I am using the AOSP KB (not a 3rd party kb)
3.  I don't want to use a 3rd party keyboard
4.  I know I could be a more careful keyboarder, but that is not helpful for the problem I face.

Thanks!

A workable solution (not perfect or even what I was looking for).  Under the "AOSP Keyboard" settings, Set the "Auto-correction to "Very Aggressive"

So I struggle with android's call ui. I often will get or make a call while driving. I almost always have Waze running as my navigation while driving act as my trip progress tracker and traffic avoidance warning (because I live in NJ).

How is everyone good with Android's philosophy of "let me take over your whole screen for a duration of a call (incoming or outgoing) and completely mask navigation the entire time"?

If I initiate the call, I know who I'm calling. If I am receiving a call I need to see who it is for like 2 seconds. Navigation is by far the most critical thing for my screen, especially because I tend to make a call when I'm close to my destination, but lost or tend to receive calls at some critical juncture during my drive.

+Darren Lee thanks, that is what I currently do and it works ok. But I can't imagine that driving and operating your phone is very safe. A minimal call ui is what I'd hope someone would implement.

I know this isn't really a CM question, but nobody else has been able to answer.

Can anyone explain to me exactly what info an app has access to when it can "Read Google Service Configuration"? Is it personal data or just generic "the user has a Google account"?

Anyone having an issue with Superuser on 10.2?  I just updated to the new nightly and any app that requires root is failing.  I know there was an issue with superuser and 4.3 due to SELinux, but I thought that was worked out with a Daemon.

How do we request a feature?  I played around with another ROM before coming back to CM.  One feature I really liked having the the dialer app give focus back to a previously running app when you hang-up.  Currently, when using the Navigation feature, when I end a call, the screen stays on the dialer rather than going back to Navigation.  So while driving I actually have to physically interact with my phone, not safe at all.

A feature I miss a lot from the 10.1 ROM is the ability to set your screen brightness levels.  In dim environments I like to have the display brightness very dim.  It's nicer to look at and (I think) saves a little battery.  Anyone know when that is going to be ported back in?

Christian, that method allows me to adjust the current screen brightness   Not the brightness levels.  For instance, at the 0-8 lux slot the default brightness is 20, I like to set it to 4.  This level is not possible even when manually controlling it.
